Insider Update 3.8.2.6 is now live. As we approach the scheduled release of our September update, the next three Insider builds will become focused on finalising this release. This means that the feature set and builds delivered to Insiders will now closely resemble what will be available in the final release.
If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.
This Insider update includes a timed Scale Test for Last Ship Standing. From Friday, September 4th 20:00 UTC to 23:00 UTC, Last Ship Standing will be available in Insiders exclusively for Galleons.
Scale Test Reward
Insiders participating in this Scale Test as part of a full 4-pirate Galleon Crew will be rewarded for their efforts! Crews can be formed either as Closed Crew or Open Crew to receive their rewards.
Joining a match will fulfil the Insider weekly reward, while playing subsequent matches will then sequentially earn 100 Doubloons, the Mandrake Hull, a level of Season Pass progression and then an additional 200 Doubloons for participating in 5 total matches.
Galleon Battles
Conqueror of the Damned Technical Test
For this test, Insiders will be required to achieve wins in Last Ship Standing to test the upcoming Conqueror of the Damned Commendation ahead of its release to Live.
Pirates will begin at Commendation Grade 0 unless they have received a win during a prior Last Ship Standing Insider Scale Test. On winning a battle, they will then be boosted to Grade IV.
New Switches
Ship Damage - These switches allow creators to control whether different parts of the ship can receive damage during a session, along with fine-grained control over flooding and fire damage.
Experiment – Diving To Experiences
This is a time-limited live experiment, allowing the team to learn how this change alters the dynamics on the seas. The success or failure of this experiment will inform potential future permanent changes to the experience.
