Insider Update 3.8.2.3 is now live. This update brings Layout Saving to Custom Seas, allowing creators to preserve and quickly reload custom-built experiences, while Season 21 continues the hunt for the Chest of Fortune across a range of World Events, with chances to uncover even greater rewards.

Saving ‘Layouts’
Custom Seas now provides the ability for creators to save items placed in the world in the form of ‘Layouts’, allowing quicker access to custom-built experiences between sessions.
Once items are placed, a Layout can be saved by selecting ‘Save Layout’ from the Game Options and then naming it or overwriting an old Layout.
On starting a Custom Session, creators can then load a Layout by using ‘Open Layout’ from the Command Menu to place the saved items.
Within the Game Options, creators can ‘Reset to last loaded Layout’ to return to a previously saved state or ‘Remove Layout’ to quickly remove any placed items.
Each Location can support 10 Layouts, and Layouts can be deleted from the Game Options menu.
Chest of Fortune
During Season 21, the Chest of Fortune will remain a potential reward for crews conquering a range of emergent World Events.
The following emergent World Events will have a chance for the Chest of Fortune to be part of the treasure on completion, along with a rare chance for three chests to emerge: Skeleton Forts, Reaper Fortresses, Ashen Winds and Ghost Fleets.
The Fort of the Damned will have a rare chance for the Chest of Fortune to be present in the Vault on completion, along with a super-rare chance for three chests to be uncovered.
The Fort of Fortune, Fleet of Fortune and Burning Blade however, will provide a guaranteed Chest of Fortune, along with a super-rare chance for three chests to be rewarded.

Presently, players cannot delete a Layout after it has been created.
Buried items will not save in a Layout.
Items placed in a Treasure Chest will reappear outside the chest when loading a Layout.
Gameplay
Custom Seas
Loading into a new Custom Seas lobby now consistently shows the correct crew roster.
Players on controller can now sprint while the Quick Command Menu is open.
Players using the Free Camera can no longer reach beyond the playable area inside the Glorious Sea Dogs Tavern or the Reaper’s Lair.
Environment
Players striking trees with a sword or landing a shot on the trunk with a projectile weapon will now consistently hear the correct audio effects.
'The Legend of Monkey Island' - Sitting down while in the Scumm Bar now keeps the camera above ground level.
Visual and Audio
The Chest of Fortune is now consistently held correctly by its handles.
The Ghostly Curse Fox now plays its preview animation in the Pirate Emporium.
The Grinning Gourd Bucket no longer spins while pouring and bailing water.
Water levels inside the Grinning Gourd Bucket now appear correctly at all times.
The Burning Blade’s deck effects now display correctly.
The Sunlit Sepulchre Eye of Reach now aligns correctly when aiming.
The Smouldering Pegasus Eye of Reach no longer merges through the camera while grappling.
The Smouldering Pegasus Blunderbuss now sits correctly when aiming down sights.
The Smouldering Pegasus Cannons now cast shadows as intended.
Text and Localisation
Guild Mottos now update as intended when switching to a shorter motto.
The Parley Pennant icon now appears correctly within the Pennant menu.
Performance and Stability
