Insider Update 3.8.0.7 is now live. This is the final Insider build of the hardening phase for our next release before we return to previewing features for future updates.
If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.
This Insider update includes a timed Technical Test for Last Ship Standing. From Friday, July 17th 20:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC, Last Ship Standing will be available in Insiders for both Solo and Duo Sloop crews.
Shrinking Battle Bounds
While the Battle Bounds will continue to shrink in stages early in the battle, the final area will no longer remain static during the final phases of the fight.
Crews will now find that at the 25-minute mark, the final area between the rocks will slowly shrink over the course of 10 minutes, forcing the battle to an explosive close.
Retrieving the Spoils of Battle
Winners' Grace Period
After besting their rivals to become the Last Ship Standing, winners will now find that the portal will not appear until they sail away from the final combat area. This change has been implemented to address crews being prematurely removed from the area.
Winners are still returned to the High Seas after 10 minutes, giving them plenty of time to collect their spoils.

Last Ship Standing
Players that force the game to close while their ship is sinking after a loss may find that on rejoining the session, their ship is returned to the battle.
Crews sailing beneath the waves may find they appear floating outside of their ship while waiting for rivals.
Pirate Emporium
The Pocket Lizard Emote does not play when used for the first time after joining a session.
The Silver Coin Lantern's flame is currently not very visible and appears stretched.
Gameplay
Last Ship Standing
After losing a battle, crews with crewmates still on the Ferry of the Damned should no longer experience a Cashewbeard error and find themselves disconnected from the game.
Solo crews should now be consistently prevented from inviting another player into their crew to join the battle.
Further improvements have been made to matchmaking to reduce scenarios where crews could become stuck waiting for a match or experience a black loading screen at the start of battle.
The portal now consistently appears for the winning ship a short time after the battle concludes.
