Insider Update 3.8.0.1 is now live. This build now returns to previewing features which will release in future updates. With this update, Insiders can preview improvements to protect player's sessions from invite spamming, as well as further improvements around receiving purchased crates from the Merchant Alliance representatives.

Improvements have been made to a range of existing Commendations that have become frustrating or difficult to achieve over time as the game has evolved.
Merchant Alliance Commendation Improvements
Merchant Alliance Commendations that task pirates to recover various resource crates and resources have been reworked to provide a more predictable way for players to progress them.
The addition of four new Commodities into the Merchant Trade Routes allow players to progress the following commendations in addition to their original requirements;
Merchant Forager - Fruit Crates or Unsorted Ingredient Crates
Merchant Shipwright - Wood Crates or Unsorted Repair Material Crates
Cast Iron Merchant - Cannonball Crates or Unsorted Munition Crates
Black Powder Merchant - Gunpowder Barrels or Unrefined Gunpowder Crates
Miles Sailed Commendation Improvements
Trading Company Commendations that require players to sail with an active voyage have now been updated and will now also progress when the crew is sailing on behalf of the company as an Emissary. These Commendations include;
Sailor of the Gold Horizon - Sail 1000 nautical miles on Gold Hoarder voyages or with their Emissary Flag raised
Sailor of the Whispering Bones - Sail 1000 nautical miles on Order of Souls voyages or with their Emissary Flag raised
Sailor of the Merchant Alliance - Sail 1000 nautical miles on Merchant Alliance voyages or with their Emissary Flag raised
Sailor of Athena's Fortune - Sail 1000 nautical miles on Athena's Fortune voyages or with their Emissary Flag raised
Faction Battle Commendation Improvements
Faction Battle commendations that require crews to cash in their streak have been reworked to now progress when crews remain battling and win battles with their active streak. These Commendations include;
Ferocious Warrior - Reach the largest possible Allegiance Streak for the Servants of the Flame or win battles with it
In His Name - After the Ritual of the Flame, reach the largest possible Allegiance Streak for the Servants of the Flame or win battles with it
Best of the Best - Reach the largest possible Allegiance Streak for the Guardians of Fortune or win battles with it
Pretty Good at This - After receiving your Blessing, reach the largest possible Allegiance Streak for the Guardians of Fortune or win battles with it
Burning Blade Commendation Improvements
The Playing the Part Commendation has now been reduced to requiring a single Burning Blade returned with 8 or more rituals (down from 10 Burning Blades returned)
The Feeding the Fire Commendation has been reworked to now progress when crews continue retrieving rituals with their active streak.
Feeding the Fire - Reach a streak of 4 Rituals or complete Rituals after reaching that streak while in command of the Burning Blade
Addressing Incorrect Ship Interactions following server migration
Improvements have been made to address scenarios where after server migration or diving, ship interactions on other rival ships may become unusable.
These can include but are not limited to non-interactable ammo crates, missing cannons, empty resource barrels or missing quest tables.
Mass Invite Protection (PC Only)
Streamer Mode Support has now been expanded and provides controls for creators on PC to protect from mass invites while in the front-end menu.
Players can now mute ‘Front End Invite Notifications’ and will find any received invites no longer block navigation through the menu and appear filtered at the top of the screen.
In addition, players not having enabled this setting will find that after receiving multiple invites in quick succession the invite notification now provides an option to temporarily mute further invites for that session.
Retrieving Supplies From Vendors
Custom Seas
In Custom Seas, players may receive failure messaging despite successful actions, or experience issues where ships do not spawn correctly when changing ship type.
Players with ‘Hide Gamertags’ enabled will not see hidden player names in various parts of the Custom Seas menus and Scoreboards.
Gameplay
Players should no longer find they are able to retrieve duplicate items from a single purchase at the Merchant Alliance or Hunters Call.
The Cannon of Rage should no longer disappear when picking up another cannon while already carrying it.
Ancient Megalodons should no longer appear near the location of Faction Battles taking place.
Blowpipe darts should now correctly apply their effect even if the player switches weapons while the dart is in flight.
‘Shores of Gold’ – Crews reaching the Gold Hoarder at the end of the tale will now find them move and attack as intended.
‘A Pirate’s Life’ – While onboard the Ferry of the Damned, the ship’s cannons remain locked until released by the Ferryman.
Ancient Megalodon defeated during their bite attack should now consistently release their rewards into the seas to be recovered by victories pirates.
Treasure left at sea for a period of time before being retrieved will now have its sink timer reset ensuring it remains floating for the full duration if dropped in the sea again in the future.
Custom Seas
Resource Crates spawned in Custom Seas should now contain the correct resources.
The Custom Seas Cinematic Camera now maintains the correct controller rotation speed when locked onto a target.
Starting a Ghost Fleet World event no longer causes the tornado to appear higher in the sky than intended
Players invited to a Custom Seas session prior to completing the Maiden Voyage are now clearly notified that this needs to be completed before they can accept the invite.
Last Ship Standing
Following a win, the battle bounds will now return to the starting size allowing players to retrieve any items before returning to High Seas, however preventing crews from exploring unintended areas of the environment.
Crews disconnecting, closing the game or crashing while travelling beneath the waves are no longer offered the ability to rejoin their session. This has been done to address a wide range of instability issues caused by players rejoining sessions.
Environment
Visual and Audio
Ship previews in the front end now correctly display sails.
Players should no longer encounter camera clipping or visual issues while using emotes or seated positions.
The Ghostly Curse Alsatian and Ragamuffin no longer have the option to wear outfits
Players now appear with the correct weapons when performing Stealth Weapon Emotes.
Scene Stealer Masks now appear correctly when browsing the Pirate Emporium.
Accessibility
Text and Localisation
Improved localisation across multiple languages, including fixes for Russian and Italian, addressing missing translations and incorrect formatting.
UI text and prompts now display correctly across menus without placeholder or unintended formatting issues.
Performance and Stability
Improvements have been made to game stability to reduce scenarios where players unexpectedly exit the game or become disconnected from their session.
Players on PC using both Keyboard and Controller simultaneously should no longer see a Gaming UI menu appear when using certain button combinations.
Players on PC using a DualSense™ Wireless Controller can now fully navigate the front-end menu and begin a session.
