Insider Patch Notes 3.7.2.3

Insider Update 3.7.2.3 is now live. Ahead of Season 20 arriving, Insiders now have access to the proposed World Event Raid Voyage experiment and upcoming Live Event ‘Emissaries of Fortune’ for testing.

If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.

Gameplay Improvements

World Event Raid Voyage Experiment

  • As part of an upcoming experiment running during Season 20, all on‑demand World Event Raid Voyages have been removed from the Quest Table.

  • The World Event Raid Voyages disabled are: A Duel with an Ashen Lord, A Raid on a Skeleton Fort, A Battle with a Skeleton Fleet, A Raid on a Reaper Fortress and A Battle with the Burning Blade’s Armada.

  • While these World Events are no longer available as on-demand Raids, they will continue to appear emergently on the seas and when encountered will offer the highest value on completion.

This is a time-limited live experiment, allowing the team to learn how this change alters the dynamics on the seas. The success or failure of this experiment will inform potential future permanent changes to the experience.

Live Events

Emissaries of Fortune

  • Insiders have access to a new weekly Live Event to be introduced in Season 20, boosting Emissary rewards for crews representing the various Trading Companies.

  • This Event will run for a full day each week and while active, pirates sailing as Emissaries will receive an additional 40% reward multiplier per Grade, stacking on top of existing bonuses.

Known Issues

Custom Seas

  • Ships without an active crew may not appear when a session starts.

  • Players may be unable to move to ships that were empty when the session was launched.

  • Players are currently unable to invite friends to a lobby using the Steam friends list.

  • The Free Camera may remain focused on an enemy after it has been defeated.

  • Some enemies cannot be locked onto using the Free Camera.

  • The game may crash when scoring begins if scoring is set to crew-based.

Fixed Issues

Gameplay

  • Ships docked to the south side of a Reaper Fortress will now be in range of the Ship Customisation Chest, allowing crew members to customise and decorate their ship.

Improved weapons include the Legendary Flintlock, Legendary Fortune Pistol, Pistol of the Bristling Barnacle, Rococo Pistol and Paradise Garden Pistol.

  • Crews taking on a Stash Voyage earned from the Season Pass will now find enemy threats are supressed on the target island.

  • The Bilge Rats Horn of Fair Winds challenge can now be completed if the attacking player is not standing on the same ship as the target being knocked overboard.

  • Creating a new session after entering an invalid join code now proceeds correctly without becoming stuck.

  • Emergent Skeleton Ships now respect session settings and will only appear when enabled.
