Insider Update 3.7.1.2 is now live. Insiders can explore Custom Seas and test out the newly added Scoreboard functions, as well as take part in a timed Technical Test of the upcoming Last Ship Standing game mode!
If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.
This Insider update includes a timed Technical Test for the upcoming Last Ship Standing experience. From Friday, April 17th 15:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC, Last Ship Standing can be chosen from the Quest Table for both solo and duo Sloop crews.
Last Ship Standing
Last Ship Standing battles will now take place in a new location within the Sea of the Damned. This battle area has three distinct environments, each with unique characteristics to provide a varied landscape for crews to battle and become the victor.
The Fingers of Dread test crews’ navigation through a jagged gauntlet of towering stones; Fate’s Passage has low-laying sea stacks perfect for trading shots at distance and retreating for cover; and Ruins of Lost Freedom is littered with crumbling structures perfect for hide and seek engagement.
Custom Scoreboards
Session owners can now configure Scoreboards, providing flexibility for a wide range of experiences in custom sessions.
Scoring switches let Session Owners define how and when Silver is earned, including scoring start conditions, time limits, score limits and team or individual scoring.
Silver rewards can be assigned to player actions, creatures, ships, World Events and loot hand‑ins, with support for both positive and negative values.
The Command Menu has been expanded to give Session Owners in‑session control over starting, pausing, resetting or ending scoring and timers.
In-Game Scoring
When inside a session, players will be notified when earning Silver and can view a live scoreboard on the HUD that tracks scores in real time.
A full Scoreboard view is available showing detailed standings, objectives and active limits.
Crew Liveries
Command Menu Improvements
The Spawn Creatures menu now includes the Kraken and Megalodons.
Players with a customised Spawn Radial will find that these selections now persist across sessions.
When using Fast Travel or Quick Sail commands, the crew respawn points will remain with the ship and no longer require the capstan to be raised.
A Raid on a Dark Fortress Returns
No specific feedback is required at this time; however, Insiders are encouraged to complete this Voyage to help the team gather important behind-the-scenes data.
Retrieving Supplies from Outpost Vendors
After purchasing supplies from the Merchant Alliance or Hunter’s Call, players attempting to redeem the items will now find that all purchases are placed on the ground nearby for easy retrieval.
Following this improvement, players should find that redeeming purchased supplies is now much more consistent.
