Insider Update 3.7.0.6 is now live. Insider builds will now enter the hardening phase in preparation for our April release. In this Insider build, players can test out new Streamer Mode Support settings, as well as a test-run of the planned Doubloon Reset.
If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.
Shrinking Battle Bounds Visuals
The Battle Bounds have had further visual improvements to be much more defined and ensure crews can clearly see the point at which they will enter the Seas of Fate and risk losing their ship if they continue.
The red water visuals of the Seas of Fate have been pulled in closer and now have a more defined starting point to give crews a clear signal on where they will enter the dangerous zone. The Seas of Fate visuals have also been improved to ensure they are clearly seen in all regions and across all times of day.
The Mists of Fate demarking the point of no return now have floating embers clearly marking the point where the ship will explode if reached.
Improved Streamer Settings Support
Within the Game Settings menu, a new ‘Streamer Mode Support’ section has been added, consolidating all existing tools that help content creators protect themselves on the seas in one easy to access location. These settings also remain in their original locations and will stay in sync when changed in either menu.
Within this menu, creators can now also Enable Streamer Mode via a single button press to apply a suite of recommended settings.
This feature is designed to improve access to existing tools and does not extend to new functionality at this stage.
Insider Doubloon Reset
Ahead of the planned Doubloon Reset in the live game on April 16th, this Insider build will test the functionality of this reset.
When logging into the game any time after this Insider update goes live, players will find their remaining Doubloons are automatically converted into Doubloon Hoarder Cosmetics and gold. Players will receive notifications showing which items have been purchased and that gold has been granted.
