Insider Update 3.7.0.3 is now live. This update brings more functionality to Custom Seas for Insiders to test and feedback on, alongside Reaper Fortress Mega Stashes.
If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.
Reaper Fortress Mega Stashes Returning
Reaper Fortress Mega Stashes return as part of the Bilge Rats Weekender! This Event brings the chance of Mega Stashes back to the Reaper Fortresses, replacing the Vault contents with an immense treasure pile of significantly higher-value rewards.
Taking down a Reaper Fortress during this Event contributes towards the Event Goals, which also reward Doubloons!
Shrinking Battle Bounds Visuals
This is an interim visual update to the Battle Bounds, with a further visual improvement coming in a follow-up Insider update. A feedback thread will be provided once both improvements are in place to capture consolidated player feedback.
Voice Chat Notifications
Players using in-game voice chat on PC and Xbox consoles will now see the name of players speaking within the HUD at all times in an onscreen indicator, no longer requiring the player to be looking in the direction of the speaking pirate.
This setting is enabled by default but can be disabled on both PC and Xbox from the game settings.
Bilge Rats Weekender
Players may find they do not receive a Mystery Note or notification when starting a session.
The shipwreck may not appear at the designated location.
Sirens may despawn if players remain out of the water for around a minute.
Custom Seas
Session leaders may find they are unable to spawn creatures consistently while using the In-Game Command Menu.
Ship cosmetics may not carry over correctly when changing crew ship size.
Fast Travel may sometimes fail when teleporting to certain islands.
Using Teleport Ship or Quick Sail may not update the player’s spawn point.
The Session Permissions and Roles screen may display an infinite loading screen.
Gameplay
Players firing all shots from a Double Barrel Pistol should now find that the last shot fired consistently deals damage when striking a target.
Further improvements have been made to how players attach to, release and climb ladders, to address rare issues of unintentionally slow movement after getting onto a ladder.
Bilge Rats Weekender
Custom Seas
Players should no longer receive a RavioliBeard error when trying to matchmake into a Private Sandbox after having left a different Custom Seas lobby.
There are now settings tooltips while on the Custom Seas lobby screen.
Leaders without crew permissions will now see that 'Change Ship' is greyed out in Ship Options.
The menu for activating 'Storm' and 'Fog' no longer references a World Event.
The confirmation pop-up for moving players between ships is now shown consistently.
Ashen Garrisons
The Store Room Key should no longer levitate above the shelf it is laying on in King's Chalice Garrison.
Ashen Keys dropped onto the ground should now sit correctly and remain visible.
The Open Up Commendation description now shows that the Fort must be active in order to progress the Commendation.
Players can no longer skip using the capstan to open the Lighthouse on King's Chalice Garrison.
User Interface
The Season 19 Title names no longer overlap in the Pirate Log.
The Season 19 loading screen will now correctly display the Faction Fights imagery instead of the Bilge Rats Weekender imagery.
