Insider Update 3.6.1.4 is now live. Insiders can now test new eligibility requirements for Faction Battles.
If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.
Faction Battle Entry Requirements
Players are now required to complete a set of High Seas activities before their crew is eligible to participate in Faction Battles with rival crews, establishing a greater time investment before players unlock access to on-demand battles.
All members of the crew are now required to have completed the Maiden Voyage, Tutorial Voyages for the Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls and Merchant Alliance, and reached Rank 15 with The Reaper’s Bones during High Seas play.
Maiden Voyage Improvements
Players are no longer able to join the High Seas or Safer Seas from a game invite, if they have yet to complete the Maiden Voyage.
Players are no longer able to skip the Maiden Voyage by disconnecting from the title during the Voyage and are required to complete it fully before making their way to the wider seas.

Gameplay
The Double Barrel Pistol’s reload time has been reduced slightly to more closely match the existing reload animation, helping smooth out firing after a reload.
Players grabbing the ship’s wheel from a crouched position while travelling beneath the waves should now be stood up once the ship begins to surface.
Delivering Cargo Crates to Hunter’s Call representatives now consistently awards Merchant Alliance reputation and Emissary rewards.
User Interface
The Dark Constellation Cat is now available in both the Pets and Browse All sections of the Pirate Emporium.
Scrolling through settings with a gamepad now animates smoothly when moving a slider all the way to the top.
