Insider Update 3.4.1.5 is now live. This update introduces Smuggler Wrecks and Caches packed with high-value loot, the competitive Smugglers’ Heist Voyage, and new shorter Athena’s Fortune Legendary Searches.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Smuggler Wrecks
Crews setting sail may now discover Smuggler Wrecks, smuggling vessels sunk while transporting their precious cargo. While these wrecks are rarer than traditional shipwrecks, their rewards are worth the detour!
Smuggler Wrecks contain an assortment of high-value treasure like unique ship journals that can be returned to the Smugglers’ League, and an assortment of weapons including devastating Black Powder Barrels. Reaper’s Chests and Bounties will continue to be found in these new wrecks.
Pirates diving down to a Smuggler Wreck will find handy air bubbles throughout the ship to help them while exploring.
Smuggler Caches
Smugglers’ Heist Voyage
Arriving mid-Season during Smugglers’ Tide, this is a new competitive Voyage pitting crews against each other in a heist at Royal Crest Fortress.
After starting the Voyage from their ship’s mast, crews will be tasked with retrieving the Fortress Key from a Smuggler contact, then setting sail to take on the Fort and steal a precious painting by any means necessary!
Athena’s Fortune Legendary Searches
Ahead of their live release, the Athena’s Fortune Legendary Search Voyages return for Insider testing.
Athena’s Fortune now offer three new Voyages that provide a short, on-demand option to earn Athena’s Fortune reputation. These new Legendary Searches can be selected from the Quest Table: A Legendary Treasure Map Search, A Legendary Riddle Quest Search and A Legendary Skeleton Bounty Search.
As these Voyages are a shorter experience and therefore have less risk than the existing Athena’s Fortune experiences, they will provide reduced rewards in comparison to their riskier counterparts.
