# Insider Patch Notes 3.1.0.4

Insider Update 3.1.0.4 is now live. With the latest update, Insiders can flaunt their pirate fashion with fresh stock available at the Emporium and Outpost shops. Additionally, players are encouraged to participate in Gilded Voyages as part of upcoming live events.

## Live Events

**Gilded Voyages**

* Gilded Voyages are back for testing in this Insider update. Players can once again take part in exclusive, one-time Gilded Voyages, which offer heightened risks and rewards for the participating Trading Companies.

## Outpost Cosmetics

**New Outpost Stock!**

* Outpost clothing stores have received a shipment of brand-new items and now offer the Simian Courtly Jacket and several new halter style shirts, all available for gold.

* Outpost Weaponsmiths now stock a range of weapons from the new Stonebark Carpenter’s Weapon Set.

## Updates

**Improved HDR Experience**

* HDR has received a refreshed tone-mapping, better matching the Sea of Thieves colour palette with SDR while keeping HDR highlights. This is applicable on all platforms. As changes to the experience have been made, it is advised that players perform HDR calibration from the game settings.
* An issue where the HDR brightness and contrast sliders didn’t work has now been fixed, which should allow players greater control over their HDR settings. As these issues with sliders being 'stuck' may have impacted your settings if you’ve used HDR before, we recommend all players using HDR screens perform HDR calibration whether they’ve enabled HDR previously on Sea of Thieves or not.

## Known Issues

**Game Stability**

* Players using Game Transcription Override may find that performing too many interactions with the menu can cause Xbox One consoles to freeze, making it necessary to restart the console.

## Fixed Issues

**Gameplay**

* Resolved an issue where the Temple puzzle became unplayable if it reset while the player was inside.

* The Ashen Roar will no longer get stuck and become unusable if the Burning Blade moves servers while it was heating up.

* Storage Merfolk will now recognise the Burning Blade ship when the Burning Blade crew has loot stored in a loot statue.

**Crouching and Stealth**

* Introduced a slight delay before the player is fully seen by enemy threats after exiting crouch, preventing scenarios where players were instantly attacked.

**HDR Improvements**

* Setting the HDR colour contrast to 56 or higher no longer results in colours becoming inverted. We advise recalibrating HDR settings following this fix.

* Improved the display of menu elements when HDR is turned enabled.

**Environment**

* 'Captains of the Damned' - Players can now sit on a specific bench in Isla Tesoro without appearing to merge into other players sitting on the same bench.

* The Orb of Secrets will no longer get stuck inside the bucket on the Burning Blade.

* The barrels at Blind Man's Lagoon are now solid.

* Objects will not intersect the walls of the well at Skeleton Camps.

**Visual and Audio**

* The banner for pledging to take control of the Burning Blade now displays the name of the crew correctly.

* The correct icon will now show on the Map Table when players are holding the Blade of Souls.

* Improved visibility in the Crypt Vault at Picaroon Palms to make gameplay elements of the Ritual Table easier to see.

* Crews within range will no longer receive the 'Ship Defeated' tutorial notification if a player-owned Burning Blade leaves.

* The Pirate Lord's speech will no longer be cut off when players sail off at the end of the Captaincy tutorial.

* The Reaper's Heart Pocket Watch and Frozen Horizon Pocket Watch now show the date on preview icons.

* Enhanced the graphical quality of the carpet inside the Burning Blade's Captain's cabin.

**Text and Localisation**

* 'Revenge of the Morningstar' - Tracy will now have her full dialogue of four lines in the Voyage.

* The Merchant Alliance Tutorial Voyage quest map now displays the Outpost name clearly in the Spanish language version, without the pirate's thumb covering it.

* Corrected overlapping text that appeared during the Merchant Tutorial in Spanish.

* 'Stars of a Thief' - Resolved instances of text overlapping the screen in the Quest Book variants for Italian.

* Corrected spelling mistakes in the names of the Obsidian Captain's Upper Body and Lower Body cosmetics.

**Performance and Stability**

* Improved server stability to avoid instances where players are disconnected from their session.
