# Insider Patch Notes 2.9.2.7

Insider Update 2.9.2.7 is now live. Insiders can now explore the latest update, which introduces a range of fresh cosmetics that can be obtained by claiming the Chest of Fortune during Skeleton Fleet World Events. Additionally, players can also showcase their rank with their preferred Trading Company using some stylish cosmetics.

## Sea of Thieves on Demand

**Raid Voyage Unlock Criteria**

* Raid Voyages (previously referred to as ‘On-Demand World Events’) will now unlock based on the player’s Reputation Level. Insiders can progress their pirate naturally in order to test this new path of unlocking experiences.

**New Trading Company Cosmetics**

* The Trading Companies have been stocked with new cosmetics for players to earn by progressing to rank 100 in a Company. The Gold Hoarders, Merchant Alliance, Order of Souls, and Athena's Fortune companies each now unlock access to a new costume and the Reaper’s Bones offer a bundle of clothing items.

*These items have been unlocked for Insiders and can be found in the cosmetic chests when arriving in game.*

## Gameplay Improvements

**Skull of Siren Song**

* Cosmetic rewards that can be earned by completing the various Commendations as part of the Skull of Siren Song can now be found in the respective Outpost Shops along with their unlock criteria. 
* With this change, upon unlocking the relevant Commendation, players will now be required to purchase the reward from the Outpost store and will not be automatically awarded.

**Island Ziplines**

* Ziplines have now been added to Thieves’ Haven and the Fort of the Damned, in addition to those found at Ancient Spire Outpost, Crooked Masts and Hidden Spring Keep.

## Updates

**Fates of Fortune Clothing**

* Insiders can now explore a range of new cosmetics in this latest Insider build. This includes the Fates of Fortune Cannon, Flag, Capstan, Wheel, Blunderbuss and Eye of Reach.

*These items have been unlocked for Insiders and can be found in the cosmetic chests when arriving in game.*

## Known Issues

**Quest Table**

* Players will experience an abrupt exit from the game when navigating the Voyages menu of the Quest Table when reaching the third page holding the Special Voyages. For this Insiders build we suggest players avoid this section of the Quest Table to avoid being disconnected from the game.
* The Quest Table tutorial is currently triggered at the start of every new session.
* Players are not currently able to open the "Complete Company Tutorials"’ Tile in the Discover Tab.

**New Trading Company Cosmetics**

* Equipping any of the new Trading Company cosmetics before removing previously equipped clothing will cause the new costumes to overlay the player’s previous outfit. Insiders should unequip all clothing before changing into the affected costumes, see [the feedback thread](https://www.seaofthieves.com/community/forums/topic/164580/season-11-fates-of-fortune-and-trading-company-cosmetics-feedback-thread-insider-update-2-9-2-7) for more details.

**Raid Voyages**

* Players attempting to dive to Raid Voyages are currently experiencing a higher rate of failure than usual.

**Tall Tales**

* Voting to start a Tall Tale via its Quest Book will cause the game to close unexpectedly.

**Guilds**

* No Guild Reputation is currently granted when completing a Voyage.

## Fixed Issues

**Gameplay**

* Players who attempt to rapidly switch weapons after migrating across servers should no longer find themselves unable to wield the weapon and hear a repeated audio effect when attempting it.

* The 'Report a Player' option has been moved down in the list of settings to avoid an issue where it can become inaccessible when scrolling is disabled.
* ‘Legend of the Veil’ - Diving to a new location during this Voyage will no longer surface players at the incorrect location.
* Season 11 skull loot items are no longer counted as Foul Bounty Skulls for the Order of Souls Commendation.
* After purchasing a promotion in a Trading Company shop, the page will now update as intended and will no longer require the player to reload the page to see the next promotion.
* The outro for completing your second tutorial will now play as intended.
* Tutorial Voyages will now only be available from the ‘Random Voyage’ selection of the Quest Table.
* Players will now be able to buy promotions at the correct levels from Trading Company shops without having to exit and re-enter the game.
* ‘The Legendary Storyteller’ - The 5th journal for this Tall Tale now works as intended.
* Samuel will no longer purchase Ashen Keys from the player in the Pirate Legend Hideout.
* Selling the Eye of Souls to an Order of Souls representative will no longer count as a Bounty Skull. 
* Company-specific loot will now appear when players defeat a Ghost Ship as part of a Raid Voyage.

**Environment**

* 'The Lair of LeChuck’ - Players will no longer become stuck on the palm tree within Herman's camp.
* Players’ ships will now behave correctly upon sinking or scuttling. 
* Pirates’ legs will no longer appear to merge into the tower structure when using the sitting spots at Skeleton Forts. 
* If the player safe teleports while inside of the Treasury of the Sunken Shores, they will no longer teleport under the map.
* The Pirate Lord will no longer merge into ship deck on Brigantine during the new Tutorial Voyages.
* The Relic of Darkness Lantern handle will no longer appear to pop out of the joint when the player is looking down while holding it.
* The Ashen Key no longer appears to merge with the Ashen Chest rather than sitting in the lock, as intended.

* Placing loot in certain Sea Fort windows will no longer cause the loot to appear to merge into the scenery.
* Rain no longer passes through a tunnel located to the south of Shark Bait Cove.
* New Gold Hoarder Artifacts and Order of Souls Skulls are now able to be placed in the right slot of collector's chests, as intended.
* Dagger Tooth Outpost's pier will no longer contain invisible obstacles. 
* The ladder at the Sovereign’s tent on Morrow’s Peak Outpost now appears correctly.

**Visual and Audio**

* Tall Tales - The books for ‘Cursed Rogue’, ‘Legendary Storyteller’ and ‘Heart of Fire’ will no longer appear open to players when not using checkpoints.
* The Sovereign Ship’s Crest will no longer appear to float in mid-air when equipped on a Brigantine. 
* Reputation locks will now appear on Company Cards and on the far-right panel when playing in Safer Seas.
* While playing in Safer Seas, the company screen will now show the appropriate lock icon at the top of the screen on the reputation icon.
* The lighting given off by the Magpie’s Glory Lantern now displays as intended. 
* The title screen now says ‘Season 11’ as intended.
* The Pirate Lord now behaves as intended at the end of the Merchant Alliance Tutorial.
* Pirates under Level 40 will no longer constantly see the Level 40 pop-up notification when playing in Safer Seas.
* The Legend of the Veil quest now appears on the correct themed paper on the Quest Table.
* The map table icon for Port Merrick now appears at the correct level of quality.
* Players will no longer see visual distortion when digging up a new Gold Hoarder chest.
* The cooking tutorial pop-up notification will no longer appear when equipping the banana during the Maiden Voyage.
* Rewards now appear in the correct order based on when they should unlock when viewed in Trading Company shops.

* During the Order of Souls tutorial, the Pirate Lord’s subtitles will now be synced correctly with his voice lines.

**Text and Localisation**

* ‘Legendary Storyteller’ - The 'Fish Friends' puzzle in the quest book no longer refers to Golden Sands.
* The front page of Company shops now shows "Available in High Seas" below the Promotion or Emissary buttons when playing in Safer Seas.
* All ship cosmetics in the Company shops should now feature unlock requirements as part of their description, where relevant.
* ‘A Pirate's Life’ - Jack’s name is now present at the start of Jack's subtitles in the escape sequence.
* ‘Gold Hoarder Treasure Sold’ will no longer be displayed when selling Order of Souls and Merchant Alliance loot to their respective Trading Companies.
