Insider Patch Notes 2.9.0.8
Insider Update 2.9.0.8 is now live. We’re getting close to our November update, so this Insider build will feature content due for release in the main version of the game next week. Insiders can try on the new Gold Leaf Outpost cosmetics in this build and take on Briggsy’s Skull of Siren Song Competitive Voyage once again.

Known Issues
*Skull of Siren Song *
- Placeholder text is currently present when viewing the War Map whilst taking part in the Skull of Siren Song Competitive Voyage.
Fixed Issues
*Gameplay *
- ‘The Legend of Monkey Island’ – Characters across all three Tall Tales now feature mouth movement animation that more closely matches their voice lines.
- ‘The Journey to Mêlée Island’ - Players will no longer be able to take the Red Herring with them after finishing a ‘Legend of Monkey Island’ Tall Tale.
- ‘The Lair of LeChuck’ – Guybrush will stop waiting for longer than intended after players have caught up with him in the Catacombs.
*Skull of Siren Song *
- Players are no longer able hand in a Skull of Siren Song from a separate Voyage as part of their own Voyage.
- Players are no longer able use chest and keys from separate Skull of Siren Song Voyages in their own Voyage.
- The animation seen when aiming and firing the Skull of Siren Song now matches up with the idle holding position.
- The cursed effect from the Skull of Siren Song will now remain active on the Brigantine, even when players are carrying the Skull while on the ladders.
*Pirate Emporium *
- The Angry Scribe emote preview now plays as intended.
- The Ravenwood Blunderbuss stock no longer appears to move through the camera when fired.
*Environment *
- Treasure now consistently appears in the Fort of the Damned vault after a player has completed the Fort.
*Visual and Audio *
- Ashen Tomes will no longer appear to sink through the bottom of the Collector’s Chest.
- ‘The Journey to Mêlée Island’ - Players will now appear to be holding the handles on the Lost Merchandise crate, consistent with previous wooden crates.
- ‘The Journey to Mêlée Island’ - A pop-up notification is now shown when the player earns the Chef’s Outfit after completing all commendations.
*Performance and Stability *
- Players will no longer encounter an error message when opening the Reputation Tab.
