Insider Patch Notes 2.8.0.3
Insider Update 2.8.0.3 is now live. The sea is your oyster with many features from season nine and previous seasons still to enjoy such as balanced world events and voyages. Head out for adventure and let us know how you get on in our dedicated forums.

Updates
*Ghost Fleet Encounter *
- The number of Wraith Cannonballs rewarded for completing a Ghost Fleet world event has now increased to 2-3 instead of the original 1.
Known Issues
*Pirate’s Log Season UI *
- Players on lower spec hardware may experience issues when browsing the Pirate Log, finding they are unable to navigate to the active Season to check progress, Trials and Deeds. Players are still earning season renown for their actions and progress through the Season can be checked on the Sea of Thieves website.
Fixed Issues
*Port Merrick *
- Players can no longer intersect through the ceiling in the Sovereign building using the spiral staircase.
- Items or players will no longer appear to float when at the corner building archway near Merchant Alliance or back of the Pirates Life building.
- Players can no longer walk through the red wall connections on the stone walls near Merchant Alliance.
- Players can no longer see through the stone wall near the shipwright.
- There is no longer a texture gap in front of the connecting wall near The Captains Head Pub.
- There is no longer a visible texture gap on Path located next to the dry docks.
- When players Jump in the archway on the second floor of the Sovereigns building, landing will look and feel more natural.
- Players can no longer see through stone structure when jumping at the second-floor archway of the Sovereigns building.
- When players move around the Sovereigns Building, their movements will no longer feel buffered.
*Visual and Audio *
- When boarding a ship from the sea, players are no longer able to muffle the boarding audio effects by grabbing the ladder while aiming down sights, ensuring nearby players will always hear someone boarding from the ocean.
*Performance and Stability *
- The Season 8 video in the What’s New section will now play at a higher quality on PC.
