Insider Patch Notes 2.5.2.3
Insider Update 2.5.2.3 is now live. Following the resolution of some stability issues, Captains of Adventure is back for Insider testing!

Captains of Adventure Technical Test
Sailing as a Captain
- When starting a session and selecting a ship from the front-end menu, players are once again offered a ‘Captain My Ship’ option. This Captain’s Ship will unlock access to a range of new benefits for sailing as a captain. For this Insider Technical Test, selecting a ‘Captain My Ship’ will now provide all players with a Sloop. In future Insider updates the full range of ship sizes will become available.
Known Issues
‘Forsaken Hunter’ Technical Test
- The Adventure contains a range of placeholder artwork, imagery and text. The team are not currently looking for feedback on these clear placeholder areas of the experience.
‘Lost Sands’
- Crews choosing the Servant’s Quest will create server instability for all players, the ‘Lost Sands’ Adventure has therefore been disabled in this build.
Fixed Issues
Gameplay
- ‘The Revenge of the Morningstar’ – While progressing through the Tall Tale, crews will no longer fin multiple checkpoints in their Voyage inventory.
Captains of Adventure
Approaching a captained ship with customisations saved should no longer cause the approaching clients to exit the game unexpectedly.
Sailing on a non-captained ship shortly before sailing on a captain session should now ensure saved liveries persist across sessions.
Captains who create a lobby on the front-end and leave before the crew sets sail will now find the session falls back to a regular session due to the captain not being present in the crew.
When saving liveries to a ship, the current item saved in a slot will now show correctly.
Various chandelier decorations no longer appear highly reflective in certain lighting conditions.
When leaving a sovereign at the Outpost, players should now see them unfurl their parchment smoothly during the animation.
Legend of the Veil Voyage
- Quest book pages provided by the Pirate Lord to seek out Belle during a Haunted Island Quest now use correct landmark names.
Visual and Audio
- Equipping the Spring Blossom Figurehead or Collector's Spring Blossom Figurehead on a Sloop no longer show floating objects beneath the figurehead.
- Reattached the Rowboat lantern found within the Maiden Voyage.
