Insider Patch Notes 2.5.1.3
Insider Update 2.5.1.3 is now live. The team continue to focus on polishing up the Shrouded Deep and Legend of the Veil ahead of release later this month. Speak to Larinna and head to the wrecked Killer Whale at M13 to join the fight!

Adventures
‘Shrouded Deep’ Final Encounter
- Crews who best the illusive Shrouded Ghost will now be richly rewarded, finding over ten items released upon its defeat to be shared between crews.
- While the rarity of all treasure items have been increased, pirates will now find guaranteed Athena’s Fortune treasure such as trinkets and skulls, but lucky crews may uncover the coveted Chest of Legends or even an Ashen Chest of Legends!
Known Issues
‘Shrouded Deep’
- When summoning a Megalodon with a summoning flare or during the final ritual, players may find that two Megalodon appear.
- After defeating a summoned Megalodon, the floating soul continues to be a frustrating experience to capture. The team are taking steps to further improve this in a future Insider’s update.
- The barrels on the Killer Whale do not currently replenish resources.
Players unable to engage the summoned Shrouded Ghost for ten minutes will find it disappears but does not fail the Adventure, causing crews to be unable to progress.
Players having already completed the Shrouded Deep Adventure are no longer offered the ability to speak to Belle, preventing the ability to replay the Adventure. As a temporary workaround, Insiders can delete their pirate and create a new one to replay the Adventure.
Legend of the Veil Voyage
- Crews migrating servers during the Voyage can cause various issues preventing progress.
Fixed Issues
Gameplay
- ‘Art of the Trickster’ - Dying during combat during the Captain of the Lair encounter no longer makes the Captain disappear and result in blocked progress.
- Players that have enabled Virtual Keyboard while playing on Console will now find that Text Chat continues to function as expected when switching to Steam.
‘Shrouded Deep’
Improved navigation for the Shrouded Ghost around the Killer Whale, preventing scenarios where they could become stuck swimming through the wreck.
Skeleton Ships can no longer crash into the Killer Whale, becoming stuck.
Summoning the Shrouded Ghost from Ritual Table will no longer cause Belle and Merrick’s items to remain floating in the air.
On completing the Adventure, a notification is now shown when earning a Memento.
Improved Client Stability when using a mermaid after engaging with a cutscene.
Legend of the Veil Voyage
- Pirates can no longer place their Veil Stone in another crew’s Veil of the Ancients.
- Retrieving the Veil Stone during a Haunted Island encounter should no longer cut the music being played short.
- Migrating across servers after destroying all Fort Emplacements should no longer prevent crews from engaging the Haunted Fort on the destination server.
Legend of the Veil – Shipwreck Graveyard
- Quest Pages found while exploring shipwrecks should no longer be floating above the ground.
- The Kraken can no longer appear within a Shipwreck Graveyard.
- Treasure items should no longer appear floating outside of a shipwreck.
Visual and Audio
- Revised Title iconography for Athena’s Fortune Rank 30.
- While cooking, the item should no longer visually flicker when changing between cooking states.
Performance and Stability
- Improved server performance when groups of Phantoms arrive during an encounter.
