Insider Patch Notes 2.0.22.5
Insider Update 2.0.22.5 is now live! Whilst the team continues to work on a range of bugs with the Vault Raiders Event, talk to Larinna and pick up a Voyage leading you to a Gold Hoarders Ancient Vault! Check the Events tab to see what actions can give you Favour to earn new, shiny rewards.

Glitterbeard Commendations
- New Commendations have been added to ‘Legends of the Sea’ section, tracking the discovery of Glitterbeard’s Journals. Reading Glitterbeard’s Journals will unlock the new Glitterbeard Sails, Beard and Cannon Flare.
Glitterbeard Achievement
- New Xbox and Steam achievement can be unlocked by progressing through the new in-game Commendations. A total of 25 Gamerscore is available to earn from this update, and these achievements will remain in the game indefinitely.
Updates
Loot Haul Memory Improvements
- When collecting notable hauls of different loot in a single place, the game will now optimise performance much sooner by changing the appearance of certain loot items. Items will return to their standard visuals when optimisation allows.
Known Issues
The Legend of Glitterbeard
- Skeletons can spawn around the tree, interrupting players.
- The ‘An Unexpected Ending’, ‘It Never Rains’ and ‘Feathered Friends’ Commendations cannot be progressed.
Rendering
- The front glass on various compasses and pocket watches will pop in and out.
Vault Raiders
- There is currently placeholder artwork throughout the event.
Megalodon Encounters
- All colour variations of the Megalodon are lacking texture.
Pirate Emporium
- There is a range of placeholder artwork and text in the Pirate Emporium.
- The player’s left hand clips into the Rogue Tinkerer Capstan.
Localisation
- Venomous Kraken items contain missing translations item titles in all shops in non-English languages.
Fixed Issues
General
- Footstep audio should now play correctly when walking on rocks on Thieves Haven.
- The Arena Leaderboard summary should no longer have a misaligned team icon in Japanese or Chinese Traditional language.
Glitterbeard
- Triggering the glittering secret now plays the appropriate audio and visual effects.
- After experiencing the glittering secret, the effects will no longer persist after leaving the island.
- Players venturing inside should no longer become inadvertently trapped.
Pirate Emporium
- The Sea of Sands Essential Ship Bundle has final description text.
- The Sea of Sands Cannon Flare, Gold Alsatian, Lovestruck Emote Bundle and Reaper’s Heart Equipment should no longer be missing from the Pirate Emporium.
- The Point and Laugh emote should no longer be missing from the Assorted Emote Collection in the Pirate Emporium.
- The Admiral Point emote description and text for several Essential Ship Bundles have been updated.
Outpost Cosmetics
- The Venomous Kraken Flag should now show on the Brigantine.
- The Venomous Kraken Capstan should no longer visibly change quality at a close range.
Localisation
- There should now be final text present in the Pirate Legend Hideout store in non-English languages.
Accessibility
- When changing options in the ‘Other Crew’ settings menu, options will now remain selected.
- The “Adventure Mode” description should now fit correctly within the text box in all languages.
