Glitterbeard’s Journals
- Placed across the world, players will now discover the first hand-written journal of a newcomer to the Sea of Thieves, chronicling their experiences and adventures across the waves.
Home Location
- Discover the location that Glitterbeard and his crew called home and uncover the glittering secret held within.
Pirate Emporium
Sea of Sands Ship
- Adorn your ship with the new Sea of Sands ship collection, complete with a gem-encrusted Collector’s Figurehead and luminous Collector’s Sails!
- A Sea of Sands Ship Bundle is also on offer which includes all the regular ship cosmetics at a discount!
Sea of Sands Weapons
- Take to the seas with the finest display of weaponry for all to see. Your enemies will stare deeply into the shiny blue gems as you proceed to cut them down.
Sea of Sands Crew set
- The Sea of Sands Captain and Crew Bundle contains a range of themed costumes, along with a way to share them with your crew!
- Purchasing the bundle will unlock the Captain Costume exclusively available to you, along with three Crew Costumes. These costumes will appear in your Clothing Chest along with anyone playing in your crew.

- To celebrate our third anniversary, we are bringing back the beloved Reaper’s Mark Sails for a limited time.
Gold Curse Macaw and Alsatian
- These pets were transformed into living treasure by touching, pecking or licking cursed gold.
Weapon Showboating emote
- Show off your skills with your weapons with this flamboyant emote! The weapon you have equipped will decide which form of the impressive pose you strike.
Easter Emotes
- Hunt for eggs... err coconuts! Get ready for Easter with these emotes. Gather coconuts in your bucket or even paint your coconut. These emotes are available separately or in a bundle at a discounted price.
Free Emote – Roflol
- Have a good time with your crewmates and roll on the floor laughing. Literally.

Lost Shipments
- Discovering a Lost Shipments shipwreck will now create an icon on the route map you receive, similar to discovering clues.
Known Issues
The Legend of Glitterbeard
- Those intrepid explorers and puzzle solvers who manage to venture inside may become inadvertently trapped if they stay for too long.
Localisation
Placeholder text is present for Distinguished Admiral items present in Clothing Shop in non-English languages.
Placeholder text is present in the descriptions of Green Kraken items in non-English languages.
Lost Shipments
- Starting another Merchant Alliance Lost Shipment voyage on the same route does not spawn a shipwreck.
Achievements
- The 'Get Wrecked' and 'Many, Many Manifests' achievements do not track progress on Xbox Live.
Pirate Emporium
- The Gold Curse Alsatian is currently missing from the Pirate Emporium.
Fixed Issues
General
- The Merchant Alliance shop should now always have a Lost Shipment Voyage in stock at applicable levels.
- Emissary Flags should no longer float away if hit by a moving ship.
The Green Kraken items present in Clothing Shop should now show the correct price.
The Cutthroat Flag icon has been updated.
The "Season ends in" text should now be correctly localised in several languages.

- Further improvements made to server performance, reducing latency during gameplay.
