# Insider Patch Notes 2.0.19.8

Insider Update 2.0.19.7 is now live! With the introduction of Seasons, check out the new ‘My Pirate Journey’ tab and venture out into the world to earn renown for completing a range of actions across the Sea of Thieves.

## Festival of Giving

As the festive period kicks off, the Outposts have been dressed in jolly decorations - it’s time for the season of giving! Visit Larinna to collect a special gift and celebrate with crews you find on the seas this festive season!

**Larinna’s Black Market**

* As is customary at this time of year, Larinna offers players a special ‘gilded’ gift. Choose wisely from Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance, or Athena’s Fortune as each player can take only 1 Gilded Voyage!
* Along with Gilded Gifts, Larinna discovered Voyages leading to stashes of armaments buried on nearby islands – why not celebrate with a bang?

**Cursed Chests**

* Larinna rumours that Cursed Chests have been washing up more frequently on islands across the seas, expect to find Grog Chests, Chests of Sorrow and even the explosive Chest of Rage appearing more frequently.

**Deck the Hulls!**

* Along with the Outpost decorations, the front-end table has received its festive decoration, along with a special surprise...
* The Outpost Taverns now have a refreshed shanty playlist, kick back in the tavern and keep an ear out for some new tunes!

## Seasons

The introduction of Seasons marks the start of a new approach to supporting Sea of Thieves regular updates. For more information on this exciting change to the game, head to the latest 
[Developer Update](http://link/) post.

**Season Rewards**

* The Test Season has begun to have new rewards added for testing purposes, players will now find some rewards locked behind Pirate Legend status along with the newly announced [Plunder Pass](https://www.seaofthieves.com/forum/topic/127480/introducing-the-plunder-pass).
* When browsing the current season, selecting a level will now bring up a reward screen showing which rewards are earned at that level, along with any unlock criteria.
* As we continue to iterate on Season progression behind the scenes, we have reset Insiders Seasons progression back to zero for this Insider’s build. Player pirates however have not been wiped.

*This Insiders build continues to hold only a small number of placeholder reward assets and is not representative of the reward plan for Season One.*

## Pirate Emporium

**Frozen Horizon Ship Collection**

* Deck your hulls with this new incredible icy ship set, complete with a glacial Collector’s figurehead and cool Collector’s sails.
* A Frozen Horizon Ship Essential Bundle is also on offer, including all the regular ship cosmetics at a discount.

**Frozen Horizon Weapon Bundle**

* Take “Freeze!” to another level with these bone-chilling weapons.

**Frozen Horizon Tankard**

* Keep your grog nice and chilled with this frosty Tankard. This item will also be available free for those that login over the holidays in the Pirate Emporium, and Larinna will have a Mysterious Note for players that will direct them to collect it from there.

**Festival of Giving Emotes Bundle**

* Celebrate during the December month with these six festive emotes, sing a song or pucker up under the mistletoe.

**Generous Gift Free Emote**

* Get in the festive mood with a special gift just for you, wonder what it could be?

**Bonechiller Costume**

* As a chilled wind blows across the Outpost, pirates tell tavern tales of a mysterious figure seen visiting crews who have lost the festive spirit…
* Send chills down your opponents’ spine with these terrifying Bonechiller Costumes, with or without the ‘jolly’ beard.

**Glacial Curse Pets**

* Get your gloves on some new cold snap pets! The Glacial Inu and Ragamuffin will be a purrfect addition to your crew.

**Festival of Giving Collection Time-Limited**

* For a limited time, the range of sensationally seasonal weapons and pet outfits are back! Pick up some festive weapons, as well as outfits for your pets!
* There is also a Festival of Giving Weapon bundle for those pirates that want to get their hands on all the festive weapons.

## Known Issues

**Seasons**

* My Pirate Journey tab contains a range of wireframe assets and placeholder visuals.
* The amount of Renown players earn by performing actions along with the Renown requirements for each level are purely for testing purposes.
* The Trials section currently contains placeholder Trials and Deeds, which may be missing text and currently be incompletable.
* The Insider’s Test Season defines only a small number of the planned cosmetics and is not representative of the reward plan for Season One.

**Voyages**

* The “Stash of Powder and Arms” Voyage card images will be placeholder after placing and voting on a Voyage and also in the information panel.
* Crews who migrate servers while a Voyage vote is in progress may become unable to complete that vote and be prevented from starting future Voyages.

**Pirate Emporium**

* There is a range of placeholder text and imagery across the Pirate Emporium.
* The Glacial Curse Pets are missing in the store and appearing as the Hunter Call pets.

## Fixed Issues

**General**

* Fruit Crates are no longer referred to as Banana Crates or play chicken SFX when handed into the Reaper's Bones.
* When dying after progressing through an Ancient Vault Voyage, collecting all torn map fragments and completing the map should no longer cause the island to disappear off the map.
* Players should now hear sound effects when using the Weapon Pose and Black Friday Emotes.
* Players should no longer get teleported into the air when walking into a wooden fence on Marauder’s Arch.

**Seasons**

* Players are now able to earn renown repeatedly for some actions, allowing players to now progress past Tier 3.

**Cannon Flares**

* Cannon Flares should now have final descriptions.

**Performance and Stability**

* Optimisations to client memory usage, reducing the potential for players to see low quality textures on Sails and Equipment on lower spec hardware while sailing.
