Insider Patch Notes 2.0.17.10
Insider Update 2.0.17.10 is now live! Grab yourself a pirate pooch, head out to find the glorious Gold Hoarder Treasure Vaults and see how much you can plunder before the vault doors shut!

Wayfinder Voyage
Treasure Vault Experience
- The player’s camera and controller will now vibrate in reaction to the Treasure Vault door opening and closing.
Wayfinder Voyage Notifications
- There have been additional toast notifications added to better inform players when the Golden Wayfinder has been added or removed from the radial.
Pirate Emporium
Purchasing with Local Currency
- The Pirate Emporium now offers players the option to make a purchase in the Pirate Emporium directly in their local currency.
- When browsing the Emporium all offers are now shown with both Ancient Coin and local currency pricing.
Charity Sales
- The charity tab has been removed from the September Pirate Emporium. The “Stand up to Cancer” sails will now be sold in the Microsoft and Steam stores.
Updates
Ship to Ship Combat
- A new experimental system has been implemented which means successful cannonball hits on a rival ship should now register more consistently.
Known Issues
Wayfinder Voyage
- When starting a Wayfinder Voyage, the island will not currently be shown on the Quest Map.
- X icons do not cover the shovel images when a dig site is complete.
- Players will be ambushed by Gold Hoarder skeletons each time a torn map piece is found.
- When enabling High Contrast ‘X’ Marks the Spot Accessibility, the Wayfinder Voyage Quest Map will continue to display Red ‘X’ icons.
- There is placeholder text on the "Map Parchment discovered" toast notification.
- The notification for a crew member finding the map piece bottle will say "player name"
Treasure Vaults
- Gold is not awarded when picking up Gold Piles.
- A number of notifications are lacking translation in non-English languages.
Mysterious Notes
- Mysterious Notes remain in the quest radial when completed.
Pirate Emporium
- There is placeholder art in use across the Pirate Emporium tabs.
- The front-end Pirate Emporium icon is currently set to August’s instead of September’s.
Front End
- The title screen will say Ashen Winds instead of the September update name.
Fixed Issues
General
- Players who get stuck on the Shores of Gold should now safe teleport.
- Players should no longer be able to clip under the map underwater near the Lost Gold Fort.
- Push to Talk should now work as intended on UWP or Steam.
- Sharks will deal damage to players floating on the surface of water when attacking.
- The Pirate Lord now offers Athena’s Fortune Voyages for all ranks.
Wayfinder Voyages
- The previous server should no longer crash when migrating with a Wayfinder Voyage active.
- Duke is no longer floating in the air on Lagoon of Whispers and has taken his seat.
Mysterious Notes
- Mysterious Notes will still be in the player’s radial even after they die.
Combat & Hit Registration
- Improved hit registration when standing on top of a ladder such as the crow’s nest or boarding ladders and shooting rival players directly below you.
