Insider Patch Notes 2.0.10.3
Insider Update 2.0.10.3 is now live! With the festive season upon us, this will be our last Insiders build till we return in January! As final bug fixing and balancing is coming to an end, this is our current Legends of the Sea release candidate. As this is our last Insider release please jump in and help us ensure our release is stable. Please play all areas of the game as you would in the retail version of the game to help give us the best coverage.
We are also continuing to work on the Known Issues called out in the Patch Notes, so please check out the Known Issues list for the current status. If you do encounter any bugs, then please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Insider Patch Notes - Update 2.0.10.3
Updates
- Adventure Cross Play – Xbox players now have an option in the main settings menu before jumping into a game session to enable an Xbox controller preference for Adventure matchmaking. This will search for Xbox players using controllers and attempt to match you with players who have also selected this option (but if not enough players are found with this preference, you will be moved to a mixed-platform game so that you can still get into the action). If you set this preference to ‘Off’, you will be matched with all players including those on PC and any Xbox players using a mouse and keyboard.
- *More Emote Radial Pages *– Players will now have access to 5 configurable emote radial pages. **
- *Currency **– *So you can test the Black Market goods and purchase the Legendary Voyages, we’ve given pirates 1000 Doubloons and 500,000 Gold to do so.
Fixed Issues
General
- Items can once again be used straight after sprinting.
- Washed up Storage crates should no longer appear floating in the air.
- Ashen Guardian, Key Masters and Skeleton Lords once again spawn at Skeleton Forts.
- Skeleton Ship Battle Clouds now once again appear red.
- Improved Weapon Hit Registration during intense long-distance gunfights.
- Improved Server Crash Stability.
- Holding Take/Stow when interacting with a barrel on keyboard should no longer repeatedly play an audio effect.
New Player Onboarding
- New players who have yet to complete Company Onboarding joining a crew in progress should no longer load incorrectly into the world.
- Leaving relevancy of the Mysterious Stranger while he is speaking to you no longer causes the onboarding prompts to disappear.
- Cancelling the tutorial voyage when above Rank 1 now cancels the onboarding.
- Players will be disconnected from ship interactables during Maiden Voyage’s cinematic outro.
- Starting the Shroudbreaker Tale during the Mysterious Stranger introduction no longer creates multiple Mysterious Strangers.
Pets
- All pets will now react appropriately to January’s released emotes.
- Pet hangouts in the Pirate Legend Hideout now function correctly.
- Pets should no longer clip through the steps of the Sloop into the barrels.
Pirate Emporium
- Icons for the Elemental Power Ship Collection now match the in-game items.
- Grog now displays correctly inside the Lunar Festival Tankard.
- The Elemental Power Ship Collection now correctly equips on the Sloop.
- Gold Hoarder Emotes now consistently spawn the Coin across all body types.
Legends of the Sea
- Resolved Text issues in Umbra’s Dialog, Tattoo Shop, Commendations and Inspect text for Immortalisations.
- Unlocking a tattoo and receiving the popup now displays Umbra’s imagery instead of Grace Morrow.
- Reaper’s Tribute of Treasure Commendation now ticks when handing in ashen captain’s chests
- Reaper’s Tribute of Silk and Reaper’s Tribute of Legends Commendations now count towards Tribute of Darkness Commendation
Gilded Gifts
- Revised incorrectly priced Black Market items
- Volume 3 of Ashen Dragon Cosmetics now priced in Duke’s Shop
- Island Cannons on the Reaper’s Hideout have been realigned and now consistently fire out of their pillboxes.
Known Issues
- **Pirate Emporium Placeholder Images – **The Pirate Emporium contains placeholder imagery for many of its items.
- *Tall Tales - ‘Sailor of the Shores of Gold’ Title Not Unlocking *– Some players may find that after having completed the Seeker of Grand Adventure Commendation, they are not awarded the Sailor of the Shores of Gold Title.
- Cosmetics - Equipped cosmetics do not persist between sessions – Some players may find that after equipping cosmetics then leaving the game, upon their return those cosmetics will no longer be equipped.+
- Matchmaking preferences – Players can get stuck on the matchmaking preference UI if go complete the below: 1/ Go to Set Sail screen in either game mode.2/ Select ‘Settings’. 3/ Select ‘Matchmaking preferences’.4/ Observe controller inputs no longer work until the B button is pressed.
