Insider Update 2.0.10.2 is now live! As we approach the holiday season, the Sea of Thieves team is beginning to get a little thin on the ground – but please don’t think we’ve forgotten about you Insiders! This update is our penultimate build of the year as we continue working through our January Update features.

Gilded Gifts
- Merchant Commodities Voyage – The Gilded Cargo Run Voyage has been replaced with a Gilded Commodities Voyage, on behalf of the Merchant Alliance. This Voyage tasks players with collecting Silk Crates across the world before delivering them. These can be delivered to the Merchant’s Alliance at your nearest Outpost or the Reaper’s Hideout, but you’ll need to drop them off at the latter for double gold and to work towards the Commendations.
Pirate Emporium
To set your new year off with a bang, the Pirate Emporium has been restocked with a new set of seasonal goods! Head to the Emporium from the Sea of Thieves main menu before jumping into the game, or at an Outpost via the store above the Order of Souls tent.
- Lunar Festival – Celebrate New Year with the Lunar Festival! The Pirate Emporium is celebrating with a range of seasonal options. Pick up a Festival Dragon outfit for your pets and themed equipment!
These Lunar Festival items are time-limited for the duration of the Legends of the Sea update, so snatch them up before they return to the vault!
- Lunar Festival Discount Bundles – For this month only, you can pick up discounted bundles for the Macaw and Capuchin, each dressed in a Lunar-themed outfit.
- Kraken Discount Bundles – For this month only, you can pick up discounted bundles for the Parakeet, Capuchin, Macaw, Marmoset and Cockatoo, each dressed in their Kraken outfits.
- Elemental Power Ship Collection – Harness the power of the elements as you dazzle other crews and strike fear into the hearts of even the most fearsome giant Trolls. Representing Kameo: Elements of Power, the Pirate Emporium now offers the Elemental Power Ship Collection. An Elemental Power Ship Bundle is also on offer which includes all the regular ship cosmetics at a magical discount!
- Sovereign Emote Bundle – Bring some decorum back to the seas with the Sovereign Emote Bundle! Set sail with a fresh set of core emotes and sail with distinction!
Gold Hoarder Emote Bundle – Express yourself like a true Gold Hoarder with a range of themed emotes. Rub your hands with glee as your crew bring aboard your treasure, or conjure a coin out of thin air!
Romance Emote Bundle – Are you ready for ROMANCE? The Romance Emote Bundle offers four love-themed emotes for you to woo your crewmates and win round your enemies.
Monkey Dance – Have you always wanted to dance the night away with your loyal monkey companion, but never really felt truly synchronised? Mimic your monkey with this Monkey Dance Emote!
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Charity Sails – Sea of Thieves supports another great cause as we see in the New Year! Fixed Issues
General
- The Sword Trail VFX now displays across all swords.
- The Shipwright at Plunder Outpost now animates correctly.
- Resolved missing textures at the bottom of ladders.
- The Health Bar UI now animates when gaining health.
- Audio should once again trigger when choosing, equipping, and changing page of emote in the vanity chest.
Pets
- Returning from the Ferry of the Damned should no longer cause your pet to become stuck and unable to follow you.
Legends of the Sea
- Unlocking a Commendation Collection now identifies players have unlocked a tattoo for purchase in Umbra’s Shop.
- We’ve revised the wording of ‘The Pirate Scribes’ Commendations.
Gilded Gifts
The Masked Stranger correctly accepts Ashen variants of items.
Corrected Doubloon pay-outs for 1,3 and 5 Reaper’s Bounty hand-ins.
Known Issues
- Adventure Input Matchmaking – Whilst input-based matchmaking is not yet available for Insider testing, some settings have become available in the settings menu. Changing these settings will currently not matchmake you correctly into matches, so please avoid using them!
- New Player Onboarding – New players who have yet to complete Company onboarding joining a crew can cause that player to load into an unloaded island.
Tall Tales - ‘Sailor of the Shores of Gold’ Title Not Unlocking – Some players may find that after having completed the Seeker of Grand Adventure Commendation, they are not awarded the Sailor of the Shores of Gold Title.
Cosmetics - Equipped cosmetics do not persist between sessions – Some players may find that after equipping cosmetics then leaving the game, upon their return those cosmetics will no longer be equipped.
