Regions

• Internally or in earlier development regions have/had different names
• bsp means "Blue Sea of Plenty" and is commonly known as the region "The Shores of Plenty"
• wsp means "Wide Sea of Plunder" and is commonly known as the region "The Ancient Isles"
• wld means "Wilds" and is commonly known as the region "The Wilds"
• dvr means "Devils Roar" and is commonly known as the region "The Devils Roar"
• rfs means "Reefs". Only 3 islands are reefs: Uncharted Island (K-9), Uncharted Island (N-13) and The Reapers Hideout
• skd means "Sunken Kingdom" and refers to shrines, treasuries and the Coral Fortress
• You can fish "Shores of Plenty" fish on Reapers Hideout because it's in its own little "Blue Sea of Plenty Reef" region

Islands

• There are some unused islands which were probably scrapped during development. Due to a bug (fixed by now) the maps of those islands (and the map of the maiden voyage island) were sometimes getting displayed above Plunder Valley on the world map after transitioning through the Tunnel of the Damned.
• Some islands were originally designated a different name but were renamed before making it into the game:

Water level

• A seawater bucket is twice a water-barrel bucket or rather the latter is half the former
• A "ship-bucket" can hold 10 seawater buckets
• You need that many buckets to fill a ship (ergo +1 to sink it):
  • 37 + 29 * $masts
  • 66 for sloop
  • 95 for brig
  • 124 for galleon
  • Water buckets reg like crazy sometimes but these values are correct!

Random

• The Arena Update was probably codenamed "Rome", our best guess is because of the colosseum
• The Disney Content Update "A Pirates Life" was probably codenamed "Starlight"
• The Monkey Island Content Update was probably codenamed "Mojo"
• You may never find washed up items on the north cap of Wanderers Refuge
• Blackscreening (safe teleport) backwards while entering sprint swim animation displaces your spawn position which allows you to get out of bounds in certain conditions
