Profile Viewer

This helper allows you to browse your Sea of Thieves profile like on the official website, just a bit better… and we keep a history of your progression too! You can also compare yourself to other profiles if your friends share their codes with you.

Data breakdown

This is a breakdown of the data that the bookmarklet/script will send to us and how it works.

Identifiable / sensitive data

Although Rare employees have the ability to associate any profile through process of elimination, the only data that truly identifies you as an individual are:

  • Your Gamertag
  • Ship Names – It's possible that the names of your ships could also be used as identifying information

Your profile will NOT be publicly visible unless you share the link!

Only share your share-link or others might screw with your favorites or even delete your profile!

How does this work?

The official website gathers your profile data by calling various API endpoints that return JSON data (see examples below). It then uses Javascript to build the user interface you can see and interact with.

Our bookmarklet/script works similiar, querying the API endpoints, but instead of using a script to build an interface it sends that JSON data to our profile viewer where we then render our interpretation of an interface. Essentially it automates the process of you manually copy and pasting response data out of your browsers developer console.

Unfortunately Rare does not provide an official way to link your profile with 3rd parties which is why you have to actively send us the data instead of us being able to poll them for you.

Access or delete your data

Once you have imported your profile you will find a json button at the top right which gives you all the data (except gamertag) we receive and use to display your profile. Right next to that is the delete button which will delete your profile and all its associated data. Also in the header you will find a link to your historical data/snapshots which are also all accessible as raw json.

Endpoints / What data is collected?

Additionally to your gamertag we merge and send the data of the following endpoints:

achievements this is redundant as is included in overview but overview is unreliable json example
balance returns your current title, profile image url and currencies (gold, doubloons, ancient coins) json example
captaincy returns your pirate milestones, ships and their milestones json example
chest returns all your cosmetic items json example
flameheart returns Servants of the Flame faction data json example
guilds-summary returns slightly more information about your guilds than what is included in reputation json example
overview returns your achievements, season progression and general stats ☠️ json example
piratelord returns Guardians of Fortune faction data json example
reputation returns alls your reputation and commendation information and some guild data json example
seasons-progress this is redundant as is included in overview but overview is unreliable json example
