Insider Patch Notes 3.6.0.4

Insider Update 3.6.0.4 is now live.  In this build, players can test the new Molten Sands Event for Season 18 Act 2 by embarking on an Emissary Quest to defeat an Eternal Guard and obtain the Molten Sands Key.

If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.

Updates

Act 2: Molten Sands Fortress Balancing

  • The first wave of Banished Skeletons encountered now have reduced health and are more easily dispatched.

  • On reaching the Duchess, players will now find her health has been significantly reduced to better align the difficulty with other Skeleton Lords (~50% reduction). Ashen Lords have also received a small reduction in health (~5% reduction).

  • Banished Skeletons and those loyal to Flameheart will now attack each other during the siege on the Fortress.

  • The treasure found in the vault has been updated to prove a greater payout, however this continues to remain incomplete and not representative of the final intended design.

The Emissary Multiplier applied for previous Insiders build to speed progression through Emissary Grades has now been reduced to the intended level for the duration of Act 2.

Known Issues

Molten Sands Event

  • The event still contains various placeholder areas of the experience such as text, visual effects, audio and an incorrect cloud design. These are not representative of the final experience.

  • On reaching Emissary Grade 5, crews will receive the Merchant Alliance note regardless of which Emissary they are currently representing.

  • After the event ends, parts of the altar torches may appear to float in mid-air.

  • Some enemy waves at the Molten Sands Fortress may feature the wrong types of skeletons.

Emote Animations

  • Players performing emotes and disguises may appear stationary when approached by others.

Orb of Souls

  • The current upgrade tiers, sell values and souls captured from each enemy are placeholder and not representative of final intended design.

  • The Kraken, Eternal Guard, Phantom Captains, Skeleton Ships and the Burning Blade do not currently grant the correct Souls when defeated

  • Orbs of Souls found in Skeleton Fort vaults will incorrectly claim souls of nearby enemies even when the vault is locked and the Orb inaccessible

  • When picking up the active Orb on a ship, the previously held Orb may not become active as expected.

  • Burying an Orb of Souls and digging it back up can cause it to lose its stored soul value.

  • Picking up and putting down the Orb can reset its tier text and visual effects.

Fixed Issues

Gameplay

  • Crews will now earn progress for Deeds requiring them to defeat an Eternal Guard, if during an encounter they defeat themselves by detonating kegs nearby with a thrown spear.

  • Players summoning an Eternal Guard from their sarcophagus and running away should no longer find the Guard appears in an unexpected location away from the sarcophagus.

Molten Sands Fortress

  • Crewmates dying during a battle with a Skeleton Lors during the encounter should no longer find the Lord’s health becomes reset.

  • After reaching Emissary Grade 5 for a company and engaging with an Eternal Guard, players should now hear battle music during the encounter.

  • Players walking near the altar at Molten Sands Fortress should now be able to easily step onto the raised area and not stutter.

User Interface

  • Players browsing their unlocked disguises in the Vanity Chest should now see their pirate perform the action correctly in the preview window.

  • The Essential Tundra Wanderer Ship Bundle now shows the correct name within the Pirate Emporium

Text and Localisation

  • The Reaping Bones Commendation now has improved localisation when playing in Polish.
