Immerse Spatial Audio
Players enabling Enhanced Headphone Mode will now hear an improved spatial audio experience, fine-tuned by the teams at Rare and Embody for the Sea of Thieves soundscape. This addresses earlier Insiders Feedback where audio quality and volume had been negatively affected.
New players can now enable Enhanced Headphone Mode with a Generic Profile directly from the game menu without requiring a Facial scan to be submitted.
Players choosing the Personalised Profile for an optimised spatial audio experience can now choose to have their Facial Scan deleted after the profile is applied from the Embody page after setup.
Adjustments have been made to the game’s audio system to ensure only game sounds are used for spatial audio, ensuring elements like music and UI remain separate.
Insiders will find their Free Trial has been reset in this update, allowing them to test the Enhanced Headphone Mode experience as a new player.
Immerse Spatial Audio
The screen that appears when opting to enable the Generic Profile is missing text.
The ‘2’ button should say ‘Try Personalisation’ and selecting it will take you to the relevant screen to start a free trial for personalised audio.
