# Insider Patch Notes 3.5.0.5

Insider Update 3.5.0.5 is now live. Insiders can try out upcoming cosmetics that will be released in the Pirate Emporium in the next Live update.

## Season 17: Smugglers' Tide

**Act 2: Smugglers’ Heist of Royal Crest Fortress**

* Smuggler paintings now display a more distinct glint when viewed at a distance and can be spotted both on land and while floating at sea.

* The target painting for the Heist now awards 175,000 gold when returned successfully.

## Pirate Emporium

**Pirate Emporium – New Items in Stock!**

* Pirate Pugilist Ship: Figurehead, Collector’s Figurehead, Sails, Collector’s Sails, Hull, Flag, Cannon, Capstan, Wheel and Ship’s Crest.

* Pirate Pugilist Weapons: Pistol, Cutlass, Blunderbuss, Eye of Reach, Grapple Gun, Blowpipe, Throwing Knives and Double Barrel Pistol.

* Pirate Pugilist Speaking Trumpet

**Pirate Emporium ‘Special Items’ Tab**

* A ‘Special Items’ tab has been added to the navigation menu within the Pirate Emporium, providing access to items such as the Pirate Appearance Potion, Ship Renaming Deed, Guild Renaming Deed and Pirate Profile Deeds.

## Updates

**Text Chat**

* A new option has been added to the Settings Menu that brings up Text Chat, to enable users to easily talk to other players using text. On a console with a controller or a handheld device, this will bring up a Virtual Keyboard for players to type on.

## Known Issues

**Cinematic Banners**

* Players who were using the Reduced Lower Banner Style in the HUD settings in the previous build may need to disable the setting and exit the game to prevent visual errors throughout their session.

**Smugglers’ Heist**

* Migrating to a different server before entering Royal Crest Fortress can remove the skeleton wave inside.

* Skeleton waves may not trigger after opening the doors to the Royal Crest Fortress basement.

* The first & second Quest Notes have text layouts inconsistent with the Note artwork, which makes them difficult to read

## Fixed Issues

**Gameplay**

* Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons in the Search for Ancient Secrets Voyage now dig up the coffin correctly.

* The Cipher of Stealth item now displays at the correct size within its icon art.

**Smugglers’ Heist**

* Remaining crews can now complete the Heist if another crew migrates with the Heist Key.

* Attempting to naturally migrate to an active Heist server no longer causes crashes on that server.

* Heists no longer fail for remaining crews if another crew migrates with the Heist painting.

* The ‘King of the Seas’ target painting can no longer be buried, preventing Heist failures.

* Heist banners no longer incorrectly display Flameheart’s Burning Blade imagery.

* Crews approaching the Royal Crest Fortress now see a single banner, rather than two.

* The jail cell lock and key now display correctly when opened.

* The Royal Crest Fortress no longer contains two copies of the Bastion of Bones painting.

**Increased Field of View**

* The shovel is now held correctly when playing with a 110 Field of View on an ultrawide 32:9 monitor.

**Visual and Audio**

* Bounty skull glow effects now remain synchronised with the skull when floating on water.

* The Smugglers’ Route Run map line now appears reliably.

* Black Powder Barrel explosions above water no longer trigger underwater effects.

* Friends list avatars now display the correct frame on PlayStation®5.

* Company Crests in the Voyages tab now display with the correct background shade on PS5®.

**Performance and Stability**

* An infinite loading spinner is no longer seen in the Pirate Log after a LazyBeard error on Steam.
