Insider Patch Notes 3.5.0.2

Insider Update 3.5.0.2 is now live. As we continue to make adjustments to our Season 17 features, Insiders can now test updated Reaper Fortresses and further Field of View improvements.

If you encounter any bugs while playing in Insiders, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and report an issue with our Player Support team.

Season 17: Smugglers' Tide

Act 3: Reaper Fortress

  • The Reaper Fortress World Event will now have updated loot in various areas across the Event. With this change, there have been adjustments to the loot from the Ghost Ships within the Event, the Weapon Cache and the Vault itself.

Gameplay Improvements

Improved Field of View

  • Players choosing to play above 90 FOV will find that when using the following interactions, their Field of View now remains unchanged: Capstan, Sails, Harpoon, Ladders, Water Barrel and Rowboat.

Known Issues

Smugglers’ Hideouts

  • Players may notice a visible performance drop when entering certain Hideouts.

Reaper Fortress

  • Some trap levers appear floating or misaligned on their posts.

  • The skull cloud marker above Reaper Fortresses is currently not visible.

Fixed Issues

Gameplay

  • The Horn of Fair Winds now correctly contributes to the Storm Sale Commendation when handed to The Smugglers’ League.

  • The Seeker of Smugglers' Caches Commendation now progresses as expected when leaving and returning to an island containing a cache.

  • Items in Company shops can now only be purchased once their required promotions have been unlocked.

  • Rum Crates of all variations are now properly damaged by Gunpowder Barrels.

  • When rowing towards a location where a Rowboat can be docked, the interaction now consistently displays at a range where the Rowboat can be attached.

Smugglers’ Heist of Royal Crest Fortress

  • Progression in the Smugglers’ Heist of Royal Crest Fortress is no longer disrupted when migrating servers before collecting the Royal Crest Key.

  • Players remaining inside Royal Crest Fortress during its refresh will no longer become trapped.

  • The Pirate Phrases menu for the second Voyage Note in the Smugglers’ Heist of Royal Crest Fortress can now be opened.

Smugglers’ Caches

  • Smuggler loot within caches now remains part-buried after leaving and returning to the area.

Reaper Fortress

  • Players will no longer experience unexpected game closures during wave progression in Reaper Fortress encounters.

Pirate Profiles

  • Titles now appear consistently when selecting a theme within Pirate Profiles.

  • The button prompt to favourite or unfavourite appearances now resets correctly when backing out of the change appearance flow.

Environment

  • Grapple Gun use at Skeleton Camps no longer allows players to escape the map’s boundaries.

Visual and Audio

  • Intro music from Company Tutorials now ends correctly when the tutorial is cancelled.

Text and Localisation

  • The All-seeing Grade V Commendation in the Order of Souls tab now shows the correct description.

  • Several translation errors in the German language version have been corrected.
