Insider Update 3.4.2.3 is now live. This update introduces Smugglers’ League Voyages and a Community Weekend test featuring exclusive rewards, World Event Goals, Pop-Up Plunder and Picture Walls.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Smugglers’ Run
The Smugglers’ League now offers two on-demand Voyages from the Quest Table, tasking crews to covertly transport dangerous and fragile high-value goods.
The Smugglers’ Run will direct pirates to one of the Smugglers’ Hideouts to collect their goods and decipher the correct destination before delivering them in one piece, with threats expected along the way!
The Smugglers’ Route Run will always direct pirates down the same route, creating a treacherous pathway where other smugglers may lie in wait…
Community Weekend Technical Test
Log-In Reward: Players who log in during the test period will receive the Season 17 Community Weekend Flag and Paper Cutout Emote on their test accounts.
Community Spirit Goals: Completing World Events will contribute towards shared progress. Once the goal is reached, all logged-in players during the test will be granted the Ruby Legend Figurehead.
Pop-Up Plunder: Daily treasure spots will be active for one hour each, appearing across all servers. Players must use the provided image clues to dig up test treasure.
Picture Walls: Decorative photo areas will be available in-game for players to visit and capture screenshots. Locations and details are outlined in the feedback thread.
Pirate’s Log
Smugglers’ Run
As this feature is still in development, it contains a range of placeholder assets. These placeholder elements do not require feedback.
During the Voyage, crews may be ambushed by enemies. These are currently skeletons, however they will be replaced with Phantoms later in development. The frequency and difficulty of these encounters is also not indicative of the final design.
Players are currently unable to hand in the painting to the smuggler, preventing Voyage completion.
Smugglers’ Caches
The Smugglers’ version of the Rum Crate does not appear to move when carried.
The Smugglers’ Rum Crate does not fully smash when damaged.
Black Powder Barrels
Pirate Profiles
Players should no longer be able to sail under the banner of a Guild using a Pirate Profile that isn’t a Guild Member.
Players will no longer become stuck when switching from the Pirate tab to the Discover tab while opening Settings.
Accepting a Guild Invite while viewing the Pirate tab now works immediately, without players needing to switch tabs.
Heist of Royal Crest Fortress
Smugglers’ Hideouts
Little Lord Leander no longer appears to lean on an invisible wall in his Hideout.
Players can no longer become trapped behind scenery in The Crooked Masts Hideout.
All objects at The Crooked Masts Hideout now appear correctly without appearing to merge through other objects.
Players will no longer be able to walk through hanging barrels at The Crooked Masts Hideout.
Visual and Audio
Collapsing a Cannon of Rage no longer causes it to briefly disappear from view.
A black text box should no longer appear over downed skeletons during the Followers of the Flame Voyage.
Players joining a session in progress should now see Cannons of Rage in their correct state.
