Insider Update 3.4.1.6 is now live. As we enter the hardening phase of development ahead of our July release, features seen in this Insider build will align with what will be released in the main game. Additionally, the Reaper’s Chest has been updated with new ship-focused balancing in this build.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Reaper’s Chest Balancing
The skeleton waves that are released when unsealing a Reaper’s Chest now dynamically scale to the size of the ship the chest is placed on. A Sloop will be limited to two skeletons, Brigantine at three and Galleon limited to four skeletons. Any other location will use the existing limit of six.
The appearance of Skeleton Captains has also been limited, with a total of four being able to be released from a single Reaper’s Chest. When a Skeleton Captain has appeared, no further Captains can be summoned until they have been dispatched.
