Insider Update 3.4.0.2 is now live! In today’s build, Insiders can take a look at the latest changes to the Reaper’s Chest, as well as new cosmetics and the addition of Skeleton Mercenaries on Forts.

To facilitate testing, the Outpost taverns now hold Reaper's Chests and the Chest of Bones.

Reaper’s Chest
The Reaper’s Chest and any summoned Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will not migrate across servers with the crew.
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons spawning on a ship will appear with a range of visual issues and inconsistencies.
The red pips on the Reaper’s Chest do not visually represent how many charges the Chest has in it.
Skeleton Mercenaries
Skeleton Mercenaries are not spawning on Molten Sands Fortress.
Mercenary Skeletons appear to hold The Reaper’s Urns incorrectly.

Search for Ancient Secrets Voyage
The glint on dead Mercenary Skeletons now disappears when the Voyage ends.
While undertaking the Search for Ancient Secrets Voyage, the completed pillars will now continue to look completed for the duration of the Voyage.
Followers of the Flame Voyage
Cannon of Rage
The Cannon of Rage now appears properly in Mercenary Skeleton hands.
The Cannon of Rage no longer briefly pops out of view when a pirate collapses it.
The Cannon of Rage no longer explodes instantly when in heated water.
The interaction audio is now present when a pirate deploys the Cannon of Rage.
When the Cannon of Rage is in its deploy animation, a player will no longer receive the prompt to 'Climb into Cannon'.
If a Cannon of Rage with heat damage is retracted at the same time another player docks to it and spams fire, the docked player's camera view will no longer lower with the retraction.
The Cannon of Rage can now be sold to all of Sea of Thieves’ Trading Companies.
Reaper’s Chest
Player hands now accurately hold the ropes of the Reaper's Chest when carrying the item.
After a player migrates server, the Reaper’s Chest no longer needs to be picked up and placed back down to work.
After server migration, the amount of spawns the Reaper’s Chest gets no longer resets.
After a migration, Skeletons no longer become allied to the crew who steal the Reaper's Chest – they stay allied to the crew who broke the seal.
Skeletons will now server migrate alongside the player’s ship and the Reaper’s Chest itself.
Gameplay
Visual and Audio
Players on console using Dolby Atmos will now hear audio correctly.
The ashen vortex above an Ashen Lord encounter now fades away once the encounter ends.
