Insider Update 3.3.2.4 is now live. Insiders can now test the new Followers of the Flame Voyage for The Reaper’s Bones and trial the upcoming Seasonal rewards for Season 16.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Followers of the Flame Voyage
A new Reaper’s Bones Voyage is available in this build, tasking players with resurrecting lost skeletons using the Follower’s Flame Lantern and sealing a Chest of Bones through a special ritual, which can then be used to summon a helpful skeleton crew.
During this Voyage, a Reaper’s Mark will appear on the map, marking any crew taking part for rival crews to hunt down before the coveted Chest of Bones can be sold to The Reaper’s Bones.
Reaper Cannon of Rage Balancing
Following Insider Feedback, the Reaper Cannon of Rage explosion damage has now been balanced for each ship type. The resulting explosion continues to deal critical damage, however it now provides a more balanced experience across the Sloop, Brigantine and Galleon.
The Cannon’s cooldown has been slowed, reducing the number of shots that can be fired in a barrage before it overheats, thereby reducing the weapon’s damage output.
The amount of cooldown received from bailing water over a heated Cannon has been reduced.
The Cannon is now much more durable and can receive 200 damage (up from 100) before exploding.
Season 16 Rewards & Plunder Pass
Progressing through the 100 levels of Renown in Season 16 will reward players with the Boneward Blade Clothing Set and unique Season 16 rewards, alongside time-limited Bone and Blade collectibles.
Pick up the latest Plunder Pass to gain access to a plethora of additional unlockable cosmetics from the Oyster’s Prize Collection, including a ship set with Collector’s items and a selection of themed clothing, all available to earn by raising your Renown.
Renown progress has been artificially boosted in this Insider build to assist with testing.
Season 16 Guild Ledger Rewards
Insiders will be automatically granted these items for testing. Players will need to join the server on a Captained or Guild-affiliated ship in order to receive the items.
Wild Boar Balancing
Wild Seas Commendation Balancing
Commendations tasking crews with the delivery of Pristine Tusks, Scales and Teeth have been rebalanced to require fewer items to unlock. While Grades 1-3 remain unchanged, Grade 4 now requires 15 (down from 25) and Grade 5 requires 20 (down from 50).
The following Commendations have been rebalanced: Master Hunter of the Savage Boar, Master Hunter of the Pristine Maw and Master Hunter of Pristine Megalodon Spoils.
