Insider Update 3.3.2.1 is now live. With April’s update now taken, Insiders is returning to previewing features for upcoming releases, with Season 16 features now re-enabled for testing. In this update, Insiders can try out a new Reaper’s Bones Voyage: The Search for Ancient Secrets.

The Search for Ancient Secrets Voyage
Players will summon a loyal skeleton crew, uncover Ancient Pillars, battle waves of Ancient Phantoms and excavate a powerful Banished Skull.
During the Voyage, a Reaper’s Mark Flag is raised automatically and crews must defend their loot from rival pirates and deliver it safely to the Reaper’s Hideout for reward.
Reaper’s Chest Balancing
Wild Boar
Grand Boars now drop two tusks when defeated, with the rarity depending on how they’re found: two Grisly Tusks during Boar Hunting Voyages, or two Pristine Tusks if encountered emergently in the world.
The value of tusks has also increased, with Grisly Tusks worth 1000–1500 gold and Pristine Tusks worth 2000–3000 gold.
To balance these changes, the boar wallows found during Boar Hunting Voyages have been updated, now offering a Crate of Shark Teeth and an Irresistible Bait Pack instead of the previous rewards.

Event Hub Updates Technical Test
The Event Hub UI within the Pirate Log has been improved to allow the display of Ancient Coins as Goal Rewards to support future events.
In this Tech Test, four test cards with different combinations of gold, Doubloons and Ancient Coins have been created each with appropriate iconography.
Skeleton Mercenaries
Skeleton Mercenaries may appear in duplicate if players leave and return to an island.
Skeleton Mercenaries can occasionally slide across the ground while wandering.
Reaper’s Chest
After a player changes servers, the Reaper’s Chest may reset how many skeleton encounters it should trigger.
Skeletons linked to the Reaper’s Chest don’t always migrate with the chest and ship.
The Search for Ancient Secrets Voyage
Phantoms can sometimes spawn on nearby islands instead of the intended one.
The pillars and coffin may remain above ground after the Voyage ends.
Pillar dig sites currently only cycle between three possible locations.
The Voyage skeletons can sometimes become unrevivable if they die on the pillar platforms.
During this release, Skeleton Mercenaries, Reaper’s Chest Skeletons and skeletons that appear as part of the Search for Ancient Secrets Voyage will appear without their nameplates.
Gameplay
Storage Crates found through Skeleton's Orders can now be sold as expected.
The Skin Scriber Pistol and Double Barrel Pistol now shoot accurately in line with their sights.
Boar Hunting Voyage
Skeletons summoned using the Bone Caller now fight with boars, and boars will fight back. Boars will however continue to ignore regular skeletons.
Boar footprints now fade away naturally when the boar dies, rather than disappearing suddenly.
Voyage wallows now clear properly after the player leaves the server, even if the player completes the Voyage and leaves the island.
Reaper’s Chests
Reaper Cannon of Rage
The Reaper Cannon of Rage can now take damage from fire while on a ship.
The Reaper Cannon of Rage can no longer be placed inside the crow’s nest of a Galleon.
When deployed on a lift, the Reaper Cannon of Rage now correctly attaches to the lift platform.
When a ship with a Reaper Cannon of Rage sinks, the cannon is now detached and floats alongside other items.
Skeleton Mercenaries
Players no longer hear chest-digging sounds when unearthing Skeleton Mercenaries.
Skeleton Mercenaries now show their names correctly in the revive text when downed.
Skeleton Mercenaries will continue to follow players even after a sudden change in distance.
Skeleton Mercenaries now lead players accurately, taking elevation into account.
Any items held by a Skeleton Mercenary are dropped when they are defeated.
Skeleton Mercenaries no longer de-spawn if a player dies and travels to the Ferry of the Damned.
Text and Localisation
One of the Hunter’s Call Commendations no longer displays an unnecessary counter in its description.
The Skin Scriber Ship Bundle now displays the correct name in its store listing.
