Insider Update 3.3.1.4 is now live. As we approach the scheduled release of April’s update, the next Insider builds will become focused on finalising this release. This means that the feature set and builds delivered to Insiders will now closely resemble what will be available in the final release.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
A Tracker’s Megalodon Hunt
The scent trails seen in the default spyglass lens have been updated to better indicate the intended direction to locate the Megalodon.
The zoom level of the secondary lens has been reduced.
The centre of the screen has been made much clearer when viewed through the Shrouded Glass, helping to reduce overall visual noise for players when looking through this tool.
The pink colouration of the overlay has been reduced, making it easier to see the scent trails at various times of day.
Boar Hunting Voyage
Hunting Spear Balancing
A thrown hunting spear now deals increased damage to players, resulting in a 1-hit kill on a full health player.
Hunting spears thrown or fired at creatures now deal additional damage to their target.
Hunting spears fired into a ship’s hull now let in an increased water flow while they are stuck in the hull.
Hunting spears lodged in a ship’s hull now take longer to remove, 6 seconds up from 2 seconds.
Boar Hunting Voyage
Wild boars can currently be too easily killed by snakes in the vicinity.
Players may find that certain game settings when changed do not persist across sessions.
