Insider Update 3.2.3.6 is now live. As we approach the scheduled release of February’s update and the launch of Season 15, the next Insider builds will become focused on finalising this release. This means that the feature set and builds delivered to Insiders will now closely resemble what will be available in the final release.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Season 15 Launch
While Insiders has previously been previewing all of the features arriving across Season 15, this build is now focused solely on the features arriving at the launch of the Season in February. Features arriving later in the Season are currently disabled. The features enabled in this build are therefore:
Expansion of the Hunter’s Call Trading Company, with new ranks and Distinctions now available
Introduction of the Hunter’s Call Emissary Ledgers
Hunter’s Call Fishing Voyages and Raid Voyages now available on-demand at the Quest Table
Ancient Megalodon Encounters with the Feared Redmaw and Barnacled Dread
Unsinkable Ship Locations
Environment changes have been made to a range of islands where ships have been reported to become unsinkable in shallower areas, with players taking advantage of them during Faction battles.
The following islands have been improved to address these shallow spots: Dagger Tooth Outpost, Kraken’s Fall, Shark Tooth Key, and Port Merrick. A long-term solution to this issue is being investigated.
Performance Improvements
World Event Frequency
Quest Table Voyage Cooldowns
Following the introduction of the Quest Table and the refreshed Voyages delivered in Season 11, players have discovered techniques within these Voyages to increase their progression and gold earn rates much higher than intended. Cooldowns are now in place to restrict this unnatural play behaviour, without any impact to genuine play.
Voyages can now be placed on cooldown when it’s found they are being completed much faster than intended.
Voyages can also be placed on cooldown when being repeatedly started and cancelled in a short space of time.
For more information on how to test these temporary placeholder cooldowns in Insiders, please head to the feedback thread.
