Insider Update 3.2.1.4 is now live. This update introduces the Hunter’s Call Fishing Voyage with a new Ancient Fish variant and the Reaper Gunpowder Run Limited Voyage, offering exciting rewards. Players can also test new Outpost and Emporium cosmetics.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Hunter’s Call Fishing Voyage
The Hunter's Call Fishing Voyage provides crews with the locations of where Ancient Fish gather near islands, tasking them to retrieve the new fish for the Company.
The Ancient Fish caught from these Voyages are unique and highly valuable, as a result they cannot be eaten or stored in a player’s inventory. This allows Ancient Fish to be stolen by others and returned to the Hunter’s Call at Seaposts for gold and reputation.
Safer Seas Rewards and Reputation
Players choosing to sail on Safer Seas will now find a more rewarding experience during their early stages of progression through each Trading Company. Players will now earn 100% of their gold and reputation (up from 30%), which is equivalent to their earnings on High Seas.
Progression with each Trading Company however is capped at level 25. To continue earning reputation and progress past level 25 in a Trading Company, players must sail into High Seas.
While players are prevented from progressing further on their journey to Pirate Legend, they are still free to take on the Voyages they already have access to and will continue to earn the same gold rewards as High Seas should they choose to stay on Safer Seas.
