Insider Patch Notes 3.1.2.7

Insider Update 3.1.2.7 is now live. As we near the release of our October update and Season 14, this will be the final Insider build prior to launch. Further fixes to known issues will continue to be worked on ahead our launch on October 17th.

Pirates of Mischief

With changes being made across Insider builds addressing various boarding scenarios, head to the Forums for broader update on the topic of boarding in Season 14!

Grapple Gun Balancing

  • Players fired from a cannon are now prevented from sinking a grapple line into the deck of a ship. Even if the shot lands, the arrowhead will now be pulled out and the player will continue flying in their original direction.

  • Arrowheads fired from the Grapple Gun while airborne no longer have an exaggerated velocity, allowing shots fired while flying through the air much easier to pull off on targets other than ships.

  • Further improvements to Sloop exclusions for the Grapple Gun, to prevent players grappling directly onboard from the rear while in the water.

Blowpipe Balancing

  • The time taken to reload a dart or swap to the next dart is now slightly faster, from 2.25s down to 1.6s.

  • Breathing in power levels for the blowpipe have been adjusted so levels before the max charge will feel smoother and have more of a difference on how far the projectile goes. A small bonus to the max charge shot has also been added.

  • Further improvements have been made to the blowpipe darts' visual trails. These trails are now more visible in daytime and slightly harder to see at night.

Known Issues

Traps

  • After disarming a trap, the player will temporarily be unable to equip weapons.

Disguises

  • If a moving player equips a disguise, their body will become temporarily invisible.

  • Players wearing a range of costumes or curses and performing a disguise will find their eyes are still visible above the disguise.

Hanging Points

  • Players joining a session and discovering a player who is hanging from a point will not visually see them in the correct location.

Commendations

  • The 'Red Alert Raider' Commendation only unlocks for the player, not the entire crew, when completed.

  • The ‘Power of Three’ and ‘Poisonous Pirate’ Commendations do not currently progress when performing the required actions.

Fixed Issues

Gameplay

  • The 'Pied Pirate Piper' Commendation for Lure Darts now unlocks.

  • The Don't Cross Me Trinket can now be placed on walls instead of shelves.

Grapple Gun

  • Fixed a problem where Grapple Gun projectiles disappeared on reload in third person when shot upwards.

  • The Grapple Gun reloading animation now shows the spear in the correct location when switching weapons and reloading.

  • The projectile from the Grapple Gun no longer misaligns after being shot at a crewmate.

Blowpipe

  • Only players hit with a Poison Dart will flinch from the hit, rather than surrounding players.

  • Phantoms hit by a Lure Dart now attack other Phantoms as intended.

  • Killing an Ancient Skeleton with the blowpipe now rewards players with Ancient Coins.

  • Lure Darts no longer make enemies passive after they lose sight of the player.

  • Enemies killed with the blowpipe now count towards the total enemies vanquished.

  • The camera will no longer appear to stutter when changing darts while aiming and moving forward.

  • Darts now appear to be the same colour in both first and third person views.

Disguises

  • Clothing no longer appears to merge through disguises when moving or standing still.

Hanging Points

  • Players can no longer hang on ships when travelling through Tunnels of the Damned.

Visual and Audio

  • Players’ feet will no longer appear transparent or invisible when sitting on a ship or bench.

User Interface

  • The loading icon on all loading screens is now correctly aligned.

  • Players repeatedly opening Game Options and Text Chat in quick succession should no longer find the Game Options menu becoming stuck on screen.

Text and Localisation

  • Localisation has been added for all supported languages for the Skeleton Pets Big Bundle names.
