Insider Update 3.1.2.2 is now live. In this Insider update, players will have the opportunity to test features for an upcoming Legends Week event. Undertake legendary daily challenges via the Events Tab and Pirate Log, find Legendary Message in a Bottle Voyages and earn loot and rewards

Legends Week
Legendary Daily Challenges will offer gold, Renown and Athena’s Fortune reputation upon completion. Details about these challenges and progress can be tracked in the Events Tab of the Pirate Log.
Legendary Message in a Bottle Voyages will also appear, alongside regular types. Completing one Legendary Message in a Bottle will unlock the NPC Hideout Tattoo cosmetic reward.
During designated times, players will earn double gold and reputation for the Athena’s Fortune Company. Check the Feedback Thread for information on when this test will be active.
Grapple Gun Balancing
After landing on the ground from a grapple, the existing reduced movement has been tuned so it smoothly transitions from a slower movement back up to full speed. The player cannot jump in this period making them vulnerable to counterattack.
Grappling onto a ladder now takes a more precise shot in order to grab on and players will not find themselves attaching to a ladder when only landing next to it.
Text Chat Filtering
Text Chat now protects players from those attempting to send repeated messages to others in quick succession.
Text Chat now contains improved profanity filtering covering a range of new words and phrases.
Traps
Triggered traps can cause an unexpected game closure during heavy use.
Traps appear closed to players who were out of range when the trap was placed.
Blowpipes
Using a lure dart on a shark or Siren causes erratic behaviour.
Players may experience jittery movement after toggling "Reduce hold to use item - ON" and aiming with the blowpipe.
Gameplay
Players can no longer use the fishing rod lure to interact with others.
Players will no longer find themselves moved around when casting a fishing rod into the surrounding environment
When pledged to the Burning Blade, there is now a short grace period after the Captain leaves the game before the ship begins to sink to protect from temporary disconnections.
When a crew is in control of the Burning Blade and purposefully leaves the game, the ship will now sink naturally and will not appear to others to have been handed-in at The Reaper’s Hideout.
Fish now take bait straight away without needing the player to start reeling in.
Blowpipes
The dart ammo amount now displays correctly in the menu and no longer prevents the player from firing.
Dart ammo has been increased for all types.
A breathing in sound effect has been implemented.
All dart types now behave as intended, rather than all darts acting like gunpowder darts.
Dart shadows will now move naturally with the player's shadow.
Darts now hit players correctly at the point of impact rather than at their feet.
Grapple Gun
The Grapple Gun can no longer latch onto floating barrels of plenty or megalodons.
The Grapple Gun no longer allows players to reach unintended heights.
The Grapple Gun sound effect no longer plays static noise.
'The Lair of LeChuck' - Players can no longer grapple out of the map in this Tall Tale.
Traps
The trap loader now shows items that have been added to it.
Traps no longer appear to leave the player's hand too early when thrown.
Players can now swap items freely after placing traps inside the tavern.
Traps no longer appear to float after being dug up.
The trap animation plays correctly when removing items.
Disguises
Disguises on ships no longer cause jittery camera movements.
Players are now fully concealed when using disguises.
Disguises are now accessible via the Equipment Radial, not just the Emote Radial.
Crouch
Footsteps are now silent when crouching.
Crouch movement is now quieter when wearing the skeleton curse.
Crouching during a sprint no longer causes the character to display their last held item in third person.
Merfruit
The timer for Merfruit suppression now appears on screen and works correctly.
Eating a cooked Merfruit no longer causes the game to close unexpectedly.
The timer for Merfruit will now last for 90 seconds instead of 60.

Visual and Audio
The Royal Fortune Hull on Sloops and Brigs now matches the updated version on Galleons.
The Fates of Fortune cosmetic set now correctly shows glowing gems.
'The Journey to Mêlée Island' - Leaves on Mêlée Island no longer flicker when approached.
