Insider Patch Notes 3.1.0.2

Insider Update 3.1.0.2 is now live. Insiders will have the opportunity to experience a brand-new, time-limited Voyage that will be featured in upcoming Community Weekends, as well as fine-tune functionality testing for Pop-Up Plunder. The Pirate Emporium has also received an exciting UI update on which Insiders can provide feedback.

As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.

Live Events

Time-Limited Voyage Tech Test

  • This Insiders update includes a Technical Test of a new unique time-limited Voyage that will be available during an upcoming Community Weekend. Insiders will be granted a new Voyage with the placeholder name ‘Bounty for Corrupted Skeleton Captains’ as part of this update.
  • These Bounty Voyages will always take place on Skeleton Camp Islands, and players will exclusively fight Obsidian and Shadow Skeletons, with a higher percentage of skeletons holding Gunpowder Barrels and Blunderbusses.

The Voyage is accessible from Friday 26th July, 10am UTC through Sunday 28th July (inclusive). Insiders can find the Voyage in the Limited Voyages tab of the Quest Table.

Pop-Up Plunder

  • Pop-Up Plunder returns for another trial in this Insider build. Treasure will emerge at a set location across all servers for a limited period, and this feature will be used during live special events. Please refer to the Feedback Thread for comprehensive guidelines and scheduled time slots for testing this functionality.

Pirate Emporium

Pirate Emporium Browsing Improvements

  • The Pirate Emporium store experience has been improved with an expanded ‘Browse All’ section added to the top bar, allowing players to more easily scour the wealth of items available to purchase.

  • Within the new Browse All menu, players can filter items by category such as Weapons, Ships, Equipment, etc. and then deeper to find specific types such as Cannons, Pistols or Banjos.

  • Once filtered players can now also sort these items by Name or by Price to help them find exactly what they are looking for.

Updates

Improved HDR Experience

  • Following Insider bug reports identifying issues using the HDR Calibration and Brightness sliders, the recent HDR improvements have been temporarily disabled while the team investigates the issues. This feature will return to testing once the issues are resolved.
