Insider Patch Notes 3.0.2.6

Insider Update 3.0.2.6 is now live. In this build, Insiders have a chance to test the rewards for both the Season 13 Renown track and Plunder Pass before their official release in our July update.

Season 13

Season 13 Rewards and Plunder Pass

  • Progressing through the 100 levels of Renown in Season 13 will reward players with Bloodstone Dragon cosmetics alongside other time-limited Seasonal specials. Head to the Seasons profile page to browse the new rewards and check your pirate’s progress!

This Insider build includes a Season progression boost, allowing players to progress much more quickly through the Season and unlock access to the rewards in sequence.

Known Issues

Platform Availability

  • There will be no PlayStation®5 version of this Insider build available. 

Game Performance

  • With the introduction of the Burning Blade ship and Skeleton Camps into the world, players will experience impacted game performance while the team work to fully optimise these experiences ahead of launch.

Skeleton Camps

  • Players can dive to a Skeleton Camp already in progress by another crew.

  • Players can jump over the star chart and access the vault, skipping the puzzle at Picaroon Palms.

  • Using the Horn of Fair Winds, players can be boosted onto the star chart, skipping the puzzle room.

The Burning Blade

  • The Burning Blade World Event is currently active in Safer Seas, but at launch this event will only be available while playing in High Seas.

Stability

  • All Xbox One consoles may experience freezes if the player interacts with the UI many times in quick succession.

Fixed Issues

Gameplay

  • Players using the Toggle Radial Menus accessibility setting no longer find that pressing Q and E together causes the Game Options menu to become stuck on screen.

  • Crews diving for an Hourglass battle as a Grade 1 Emissary, and earning enough following a win to skip straight to Grade 3, will now correctly progress Commendations that required Grade 2 status to unlock.

  • The Gold Hoarders Boots are now in the correct shop at Outposts.

  • The Twin Shot Target Commendation is now visible in the War Chest Commendations.

  • Snakes in crates will now attack players if they are behind the snake or holding the crate while stationary.

Skeleton Camps

  • The water inside the Skeleton Camp at Barnacle Cay has been removed.

  • A jar from The Legend of Monkey Island Tall Tales has been removed from the Blind Man's Lagoon temple.

  • Players no longer take damage and get safe teleported after firing themselves from a cannon in Skeleton Camps.

  • The walls inside the temple towers at Skeleton Camps are now solid.

  • Players can no longer jump through and get stuck in the temple entrance area at Blind Man's Lagoon.

  • Players will not be able to pass through some rocks in the Blind Man's Lagoon temple.

  • The floor under one of the coffers at Blind Man's Lagoon now has proper collision.

  • Players can no longer get outside the map from the temple at Blind Man's Lagoon.

  • A spot that safe teleported players in the Blind Man's Lagoon temple will no longer do this.

  • The issue of players falling through the map in the Lagoon of Whispers temple has been resolved.

  • Distorted reflections in the water around Skeleton Camps have been corrected.

  • Seawater now appears as intended when in the camp tower at Barnacle Cay.

  • Players will no longer find floating flames within the camp at Shiver Retreat.

  • Players can now progress without getting stuck in the upper level of the temple at Shiver Retreat.

  • The water near the north-west coffer in the temple at Shiver Retreat has been removed.

  • The Gunpowder Barrel at Picaroon Palms will no longer spawn clipping into a wall.

  • Players can no longer get outside the map through the wall behind the temple entrance at Shiver Retreat.

  • The Stargazer spotlight at Skeleton Camps is now in sync with the star chart.

  • Floating items to the north-east at Lookout Point have been removed or placed on the surfaces where they are intended to sit.

  • The brazier fire effects on the towers at Skeleton Camps have been resized to look more appropriate.

The Burning Blade

  • The invisible object on the middle deck near the back of the ship has been removed.

  • The bell on the middle mast is now properly attached.

  • The Obsidian Skeleton Captain now has a different amount of health compared to the default Obsidian Skeleton.

  • The chandelier in the Captain's cabin is now attached to the ceiling.

  • Visual effects emitted after placing a throwable item inside a cannon are now correctly aligned.

  • Combat music now ends when the Burning Blade ship is defeated.

  • Decorative frames no longer intersect with certain windows on the Burning Blade's lowest deck.

The Blade of Souls

  • The 'Rituals Completed' count now shows correctly on the sword's tooltip.

  • The placeholder Pirate Phrases for the Blade of Souls now show final text.

Visual and Audio

  • The forearm textures on the Paradise Garden Costume are now properly connected when worn by larger pirates.

  • Throwing knives will now transition smoothly on-screen after players throw a knife and stop aiming.
