Insider Patch Notes 3.0.1.7
Insider Update 3.0.1.7 is now live. As we approach the scheduled release of our June update, the Insider build will begin to better align with the upcoming release of the retail version of the game.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Gameplay Improvements
Headwind Sails
- Building from the previous balancing change where ships heading into a direct headwind would gain a speed advantage when angling the sails, the Sloop has received a further speed advantage over the Brigantine and Galleon when effectively managing the sails in a headwind.
Post-Defeat Ship Sinking
- Once a ship is destroyed it will now sink in a much shorter time, allowing the crew to interact with the mermaid and head to their new location more quickly.
- All ships now use the same shorter post-defeat sink time.
Known Issues
Platform Availability
- Players on the Steam version of Insiders will encounter a game crash when launching the game. Insiders affected by this should check the Insider Forums for a small file download that should solve this issue.
