Gameplay Improvements
A suite of speed balancing improvements have been made across the Sloop, Brigantine and Galleon to rebalance the ship types and place more emphasis on ship direction and sail management during naval encounters.
Rebalanced Ship Scenarios
- In a straight Tailwind scenario, the Galleon with its three sails angled to the wind will now gain the advantage, followed by the Brigantine then Sloop.
- In a straight Headwind, the Sloop will have less wind resistance from its single sail and will be at an advantage over the Brigantine and then the slower Galleon.
- Sidewind and Crosswind scenarios will also now favour the Galleon when all sails are catching the maximum amount of wind. Galleon crews who mismanage the wind however will suffer the largest penalty.
Headwind Sails
- Ships heading into a direct Headwind will now be required to angle the sails to reduce the wind resistance and maintain their speed, sailing with sails flat into the wind will no longer be optimal.
Known Issues
Steam
- Players on the Steam version of Insiders will currently encounter a game crash when launching the game.
Skeleton Camps

The Burning Blade of Souls Sword

- The sword will sometimes merge through the bell on the Burning Blade and will not activate the ringing sound.
