Insider Patch Notes 2.9.2.4
Insider Update 2.9.2.4 is now live. In this Insider update, selected outposts on the Sea of Thieves map will now feature ziplines, providing players with the opportunity to test them out. Additionally, players can work to achieve a level 500 distinction with trading companies to test out the new Distinction system.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Sea of Thieves On-Demand
Distinctions
- Players can now progress through Trading Companies and gain Distinction levels through to levels 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500. At each 100 levels, a new distinction ring and title will become available from a placeholder vendor at Plunder Outpost, who is located near the current Trading Company vendors, for the placeholder price of 1 gold.
For testing purposes, players will be boosted to level 99 in each relevant Trading Company in order for them to test the Distinction system. Reputation gains have been massively accelerated for this test, so progressing to level 500 should occur much quicker than in the retail build.
Gameplay Improvements
Island Ziplines
- Island navigation is being improved with the addition of ziplines across a range of islands. In this initial insiders test Ancient Spire Outpost, Crooked Masts and Hidden Spring Keep have been updated.
