Sea of Thieves On-Demand
*Quest Table Special Voyages *
- Insiders will now be able to access the new Special Voyages tab from the Quest Table. Voyages available in this new tab within this build are the ‘Legend of the Sunken Kingdom’, ‘A Random Voyage’ and ‘A Random Tall Tale’. More will be added in future builds.
*Athena’s Fortune Distinction Rings *
- In this Insider build, players will be able to earn and test Distinction Rings for the Athena’s Fortune Trading Company for the first time. These rings will be available for purchase from a placeholder vendor at Plunder Outpost, which is placed near the current Trading Company vendors, for the placeholder price of 1 gold.
For testing purposes, players will be boosted to level 100 in each relevant Trading Company in order for them to test the distinction system and the Athena’s Fortune Distinction Rings that will be purchasable from the placeholder vendor.
Live Events
*Pop-Up Plunder *
- Pop-Up Plunder creates treasure spots at specific locations across all active servers for a limited time, however treasure can only be dug up once per server. Once a crew discovers the treasure on that server and hands it in, it’s gone! Head to the Forums to see when testing for this feature will occur.
Updates
*Sail Visibility Changes *
- A range of sails have been identified that provide an unintended visibility advantage over other sail designs. These sails have now been brought to a consistent visibility level with our other designs, ensuring players have a vast set of customisation options for their ship and aren’t encouraged to use specific sails in order to gain an advantage.
- As part of this Insiders build, the following sails have been updated: Dark Adventurer, Lunar Festival & Collector’s, Kraken, Ghost, Guardian Ghost, Magpie’s Glory, Nightshine Parrot, Ghost Captain, Blighted & Collector’s, Shrouded Ghost & Collector’s, Thriving Wild Rose, Sea of Champions and Collector’s Dark Warsmith.
Accessibility
*Aiming Accessibility Improvements *
- Players using the Aim Assist Audio Accessibility option will now find that the audio cues when aiming at a target are much clearer, with different audio effects for horizontal and vertical positioning to help improve accuracy when aiming at targets.
Known Issues
Gameplay
- Players will be unable to interact with any characters at Company Shops at Outposts. This affects Merchant Alliance, Gold Hoarders, and Order of Souls vendors. Shipwrights and Sovereign sellers are unaffected, and players can still interact with the Placeholder vendor at Plunder Outpost in order to test Athena's Fortune Distinction rings.
*Sea of Thieves On-Demand *
- 'The Journey to Mêlée Island’ - Players can become stuck in the Tunnel of the Damned when diving to ‘The Journey to Mêlée Island’ Tall Tale via the Quest Table.
- All Tall Tales appear locked in the Quest Table’s menus, despite being available at their respective Quest Book locations.
- Selling a chest and then interacting with the merchant immediately afterwards can cause players to disconnect from their session.
