Insider Patch Notes 2.9.0.7
Insider Update 2.9.0.7 is now live. As we draw nearer to our November update, Insider builds will become more in-line with what will be released in the retail version later this month. Insiders can still enjoy Briggsy’s challenge in the Skull of Siren Song Voyage and preview new cosmetics coming soon to Pirate Emporium and Outpost shops around the Sea of Thieves.
As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the
Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.
Gameplay Improvements
*Gunplay in Motion *
- The introduction of the Quick Switching delay in October’s update created an unwanted wield delay during regular gunplay – delaying players from firing after moving.
- This Insiders update readdresses this change, ensuring that when firing a weapon and switching players who move a short distance are no longer forced to use the full wield delay and can fire much quicker.
- With this change players are still prevented from using the old quick switching technique to gain an advantage and fire weapons faster than intended.

- Players are currently able to use chests or keys from separate Skull of Siren Song Voyages in their own Skull of Siren Song Voyage.
