# Insider Patch Notes 2.9.0.6

Insider Update 2.9.0.6 is now live! With this build, Insiders can enter an early version of Safer Seas and experience Sea of Thieves at their own pace without the threat of other pirates on the waves. In addition to Safer Seas, this update also brings an update to the Outpost Stores with additional items in the Gold Leaf set.

## Safer Seas

**Safer Seas Technical Test **

* This Insiders update brings the first Technical Test of Safer Seas, providing players access to a private session with their crew using a borrowed ship. 
* This initial Technical Test restricts access to the Reaper’s Bones, Athena’s Fortune, Emissary play and pledging Allegiance for Faction Battles.

*In this Technical Test no rewards, gold or reputation will be granted for any activities carried out in Safer Seas. However, please rest assured that this does not indicate the final state of gameplay and rewards.*

## Outpost Cosmetics

**Gold Leaf Clothing**

* Adorn yourself with exquisite garments from this captivating new collection inspired by fabled fearless outlaws who daringly liberate loot from the rich and powerful.

## Updates

**New The Legend of Monkey Island Cosmetics**

* Players now have access to a range of new cosmetic rewards when completing the Tall Tales from The Legend of Monkey Island. Players with prior progress will need to complete the Tale once more in order to unlock these new rewards.
* Players can unlock the Tavern Chef’s Uniform from ‘Journey to Mêlée Island’, Circus Superstar Costume from ‘The Quest for Guybrush’ and The Legend of Monkey Island Cutlass from ‘The Lair of LeChuck’.

*For this Insiders build players will be granted the cosmetics directly to their inventory, check the Chests onboard the ship to equip these items for testing.*

## Known Issues

**Shipwright Instability**

* Players will find they are forcibly disconnected from the game when browsing stock at the Shipwright. In this Insiders build please avoid using the Shipwright.

**Safer Seas**

* Players will find when they sail into the Tunnels of the Damned to start either a Legend of Monkey Island Tall Tale or A Pirate's Life Tall Tale, they will never leave the tunnel. 
* Commendations may not appear or unlock correctly while in Safer Seas. 
* Doubloons and Ancient Coins are currently earned at a 30% rate when they are meant to be earned at a 100% rate. 
* Players are still able to hand in to the Mysterious Stranger and Reaper’s Bones Representatives. This will be disabled in a future update to Safer Seas.

**Pirate Emporium**

* The Down the Hatch Emote is currently unavailable to purchase from the Pirate Emporium and will be made available for Insider testing in a future update.
* The Angry Scribe Emote is currently available for purchase, however it is not functional.

## Fixed Issues

**Gameplay**

* The Pathetic Tokens Commendation now correctly ticks up after selling Athena's Fortune Emissary Flags.

**Skull of Siren Song**

* Briggsy can now be heard more clearly on the final island.
* Briggsy now animates correctly during the introductory sequence of the Voyage.
* The map marker for the final island beacon now shows correctly.
* Players will now see a red kill marker when using the Siren Skull to kill another player.

**‘Journey to Mêlée Island’**

* If a player dies at the exact moment their ship sinks, they will no longer appear under the map.
* Players will no longer appear on top of the mermaid as opposed to on their ship if they die whilst their ship is sunk.
* The slicing visual effects now play during all interactions with the ingredients.
* Captain Coco will no longer face a different directions after the cutscene where players help Otis escape jail.

**‘The Quest for Guybrush’**

* Players can no longer clip into the barrel behind the Shopkeeper.
* The death sound effects play in a timely fashion when the Sword Master and Captain Smirk defeat their opponents.
* The Island reveal music no longer plays when completing Tale steps and starting from a Checkpoint.
* The bridge leading to Stan's hut will now be lowered by default when starting from any Checkpoint if a player has completed at least one trial.
* Stan's ledger will now spawn as soon as players enter his office.
* Players can no longer talk to the Men of Low Morale Fiber during their final cutscene.

**‘The Lair of LeChuck’**

* Players now hear the appropriate audio effect when raising the Head of the Navigator.
* Players now sail to Mêlée Island during the end of The Lair of LeChuck Tale.
* Wind will now be behind the players’ sails after exiting the Tunnel of the Damned towards Monkey Island.
* Le Chuck's ship will no longer explode in the first two phases of the fight and will instead fade out.

**Pirate Emporium**

* The Ravenwood Blunderbuss barrel no longer clips through the pirate’s thumb.
* The Ravenwood Pistol handle no longer clips through the pirate’s little finger.
* The Ravenwood Cutlass handle wrap no longer clips through the pirate’s hands.
* The Pirate Emporium imagery featuring the Festival of Plenty instruments has been updated to display all instruments.
* Text now displays correctly on the pop-up for the Festival of Plenty instruments bundle on the Emporium homepage.

**Environment**

* Items placed on the pier at Galleon's Grave and Sanctuary Outposts are no longer floating.
* The plank on the end of the jetty at Galleon’s Grave Outpost no longer appears to float in the air.
* Players should no longer be able to get stuck on palm trees on Keel Haul Fort.

**Visual and Audio**

* When browsing the Pet Chest, Spiffy the Dog is now correctly seen holding a bone in his icon.

**Text and Localisation**

* The description of the Gold Leaf Hat has been updated to more accurately suit its design.

**Performance and Stability**

* Ongoing improvements made to server stability to reduce instances where players are disconnected from their session.
