Insider Patch Notes 2.9.0.3
Insider Update 2.9.0.3 is now live. Insiders can continue to test the new Quest Table system and experience earning a Distinction with Trading Companies and purchasing Distinction Rings to show off just how skilled they are.

Known Issues
*Guilds *
- Players who receive a permanent ban are not currently automatically removed from Guilds they are part of.
- Players attempting to quick-join a session and sail for a Guild after the player who created that session has left will experience a server crash.
- Players may experience a Rosemarybeard error when trying to join an active Guild session.
*Skull of Siren Song *
- If a player sinks while they are pledged to a Faction, Briggsy will disappear and the player will be unable to progress the Voyage.
*Firing from Cannons *
- When aiming to the side and down on the ship’s cannons, players will find themselves being dropped into the sea rather than shot out as intended.
Fixed Issues
*Guilds *
- If the Guild Invite Emote is performed on the Ferry of the Damned, the interaction point now appears in the correct place.
- The Skull of Siren Song
- The visual effect from damage inflicted by the Skull of Siren Song no longer displays for much longer than intended after players have stopped receiving damage.
- The Skull of Siren Song now rests on the bottom of the chest as intended.
- Briggsy will no longer show an animation error when players opt out of the Skull of Siren Song Voyage.
- The Skull of Siren Song opt-in letter will appear on players’ masts as intended, in order for players to start the Voyage.
*Sea of Thieves on Demand *
- If a player dives to an event and then cancels after resurfacing, the ‘Event Defeated’ banners will no longer appear after the player has completed the cancelled event.
- Upon completing the Ashen Lord event, the ‘Voyage Completed’ banners will now appear as intended.
- Ashen Chests discovered on Treasure Vault Voyages will now always contain loot, as expected.
- Players who wish to begin a second Cargo Run Voyage straight after completing one will now find that the last hand-in location for their previous cargo run is the same as a pick-up location for the next Voyage.
*‘Journey to Melee Island’ *
- The final wave of the fight at the end of the Tall Tale now spawns correctly, even if the player moves out of the area of the fight.
- The radial of pre-set phrases for the History Book now shows the correct phrases.
*‘The Quest for Guybrush’ *
- The memoir spot located in Captain Smirk’s house will remain accessible throughout the Tall Tale once the location has been accessed.
- The music remains playing consistently after triggering the ‘Fog Clearing’ sequence.
- Crews who experience issues migrating back to the Sea of Thieves after completing the tale will no longer become stuck and can pass back through the portal again.
- The icon for the shanty needed to attract The Beast now appears at the correct resolution in the pop-up notification the player sees when the shanty is discovered.
- All parts of the Tale will now remain active for the intended durations.
*‘The Lair of LeChuck’ *
- Crews who experience issues migrating back to the Sea of Thieves after completing the tale will no longer become stuck and can pass back through the portal again.
- Players are no longer able to walk through Herman when he is hanging in his trap.
- Herman’s Key will no longer disappear briefly after being dropped.
- The prompt for players to shake Herman when he’s caught in the trap now appears at the correct height within the player’s eyeline.
- Herman will no longer disappear when players walk too close to him.
- The empty jar found in the stockade now has a Banana Grease label on the outside.
- Herman's trap peg will now reset to its original position if players let go of the button during the interaction.
- Herman's Banana Soup will now show a pop-up notification when players collect it from his cache, as well as when the item is lost and returned to its original location.
- The broken mast trap is now centred in the player’s view when looking through the stockade spyglass.
*Visual and Audio *
- The loading spinner is now clearly visible on the new style loading screens.
- The pop-up notification letting the player know that all map pieces have been discovered now displays correctly when a player completes a Wayfinder Voyage.
- The Quest Book for the Legend of Monkey Island Tall Tales no longer exhibits overlapping text issues when viewed in Russian, Japanese or Polish.
*Performance and Stability *
- Ongoing improvements made to server stability to reduce instances where players are disconnected from their session.
