Insider Patch Notes 2.9.0.2

Insider Update 2.9.0.2 is now live. In our latest update, Insiders now have the opportunity to achieve a Distinction with different Trading Companies and buy rings to showcase their level of expertise. Additionally, players can get firsthand experience of the first playable version of the new Quest Table system. Lastly, this build introduces a new accessibility feature in the form of an audio cue to warn players when they’re out of ammo.

As always, if you encounter any bugs, please head to the Sea of Thieves support site and let our Player Support team know.

Sea of Thieves On-Demand

*Enhanced Quest Table *

  • Insiders are invited to test out the first playable version of the new Quest Table, the new home for accessing a range of experiences in Sea of Thieves. In this Insiders update players can access Voyage and Tall Tales, with additional experiences arriving in future updates.

*Please note that the current appearance of the Quest Table is entirely placeholder and will be updated in future Insider builds. *

*Distinctions *

  • Following on from previous Insiders testing, Distinctions can now be earned with the Gold Hoarders, Merchant Alliance and Reaper’s Bones. The placeholder vendor at Plunder Outpost sells the new Distinction Rings, which can be purchased for 1 gold.

*For testing purposes, players will be boosted to level 100 in each relevant Trading Company in order for them to test the Distinction system and the Trading Company Distinction Rings. *
