Insider Patch Notes 2.8.4.10
Insider Update 2.8.4.10 is now live. As we approach our August release, we will now be limiting the build to only features that will be part of August's upcoming release. Players within this time will still be able to take part in a range of features such as the second tale for our Adventure with Guybrush and his friends. Simply head to any outpost and chat to Captain Kate to get started.

Outpost Cosmetics
*Flaming Jackal Cosmetics *
- After an initial stocking issue, the outpost traders have managed to band together and get in a fresh set of the Flaming Jackal cosmetics now ready for players to purchase.
Known Issues
*The Quest for Guybrush *
- The Mighty Pirate Sword will be unequipped for the player if they die.
- Corina’s animations are not played during the Potion of Unclouded Mind sequence.
- Invited/Returning players are locked outside of Captain Smirks house if they join while a player is taking part in it.
Fixed Issues
*The Quest for Guybrush *
- A Placeholder name is no longer used in Stan’s subtitles explaining about the ships.
- Text and interaction prompts at Stan’s dock no longer use any placeholders.
- When handing in the credit note to the shopkeeper, players will now receive the correct notification.
- Peeper's subtitles are now present during the fog clearing sequence.
- The Tree Branch used when interacting with Meathook is no longer using a Placeholder name in the non-verbal radial.
- If the player approaches a number of objects at Stans dock before triggering the intro cutscene a placeholder prompt will no longer be present.
- Stan’s Ship sign dialogue boxes now use their final text.
- Stan’s Sales book is now using the correct icon for its pop-up notifications.
- The Grog Bottle is now named correctly.
- The insult sword fighting "New Learnt" notifications are no longer displaying strings of text.
- Stan will no longer stop responding after inspecting all the ships in a crew.
- The Trial of combat training can now be completed as intended.
- After completing the first treasure map location, Stan’s apparition no longer plays out again.
- When finishing the tale players will be safely migrated back into the Sea of Thieves sandbox.
- Ribbsy will now function correctly even if a player is outside the battle area while in a crew.
- Murray’s intro animation will no longer loop if not all members of the crew are in the battle bants fight area.
- There is no longer a static version of Murray present at one of the battle areas.
- The Mighty Pirate Sword now has a white tile background, to keep consistency with other cosmetics.
- The zipline on Meathook’s island now lines up with the pole.
- *Pirate Emporium *
- Guybrush’s outfit no longer droops at the back when the players pirate breathes.
- Guybrush’s costume no longer has a visible neck seam on larger models.
- The Medallion on Carla’s costume no longer appears to float or intersect with certain body parts.
*Environment *
- Players are no longer able to walk through a stone wall next to the stairs in the closed rowboat dock at Mercys End Sea Fort.
- Two Ship's trinkets standing on the souvenirs wall in the Athena Fortune Hideout no longer have the same sail pattern.
- Players can no longer get themselves under the map when swimming into two poles at the Athenas Fortune Hideout.
*Visual and Audio *
- Hendrik's model is no longer replaced by a placeholder one during the lost shipment voyage whenever Hendrik is a clue holder.
*Text and Localisation *
- The in-game text chat messages are now clearing correctly.
*Performance and Stability *
- Improved server stability to decrease instances where players are disconnected from their session.
