Insider Patch Notes 2.8.2.3
Insider Update 2.8.2.3 is now live. The time has finally come to take of your ship's training wheels and take to the seas as a fully-fledged Guild ship as members of Guild will now be able to set sail as part of their Guild. On top of this the Pirate Emporium has just been re stocked with lots of goodies, ready for insiders to try before they buy.

Guilds of Gold
*Setting Sail as a Guild *
- Guild members now have the opportunity to set sail as part of a Guild. Simply navigate to the games menu and select ‘Sail for a Guild’ and you’re off!
- Members of the Guild can use the Fleet View to see which of their fellow Guild members ships are out at sea sailing for the Guild.
*Guild Rebranding *
- Not feeling some of the choices you originally made when creating your Guild? Guild owners can now ‘rebrand’ their Guild, allowing players to go back to the Guild Customisation screens and re-choose their logo, motto etc.
To facilitate Insider testing, Guild owners are able to rebrand guilds freely in the current build. In future Insiders builds this will be restricted and require the purchase of a Guild rebranding deed from the Pirate Emporium.
Pirate Emporium
*Chocolatier's Companion Parakeet *
- You'd think a stone headdress would impede the ability to fly, but this little bird doesn't seem to mind.
*Chocolatier's Companion Alsatian *
- Although he's not best suited to blazing sunshine, this faithful pooch will follow you anywhere.
*Beachcomber's Bounty Weapon Bundle *
- A rugged survivalist managed to cobble together these four weapons in a cave, with nothing but the scraps of their smashed-up ship.
*Beachcomber Bounty Ship Collection *
- Previously featured in the Season Seven Plunder Pass, all parts of the Beachcomber's Bounty Ship Collection are now available to purchase from the Pirate Emporium.
*Ship Banners *
- The Pirate Emporium now offers a small selection of exclusive Ship Banners for Captains. Choose from the Royal Coronet, Reaver and Forgotten Temple Ship's Banners to set your ship out from the crowd.
*Brawler Emote Bundle *
- Even without a weapon at hand, a pirate should always be ready for some fisticuffs to defend their loot when performing these emotes.
*Freebie Pail Percussion *
- Even when you have an actual drum tucked away, sometimes you just like to use what's at hand.
*Lodestar Big Bundle *
- Wreath yourself in skies and stars with this expansive Lodestar bundle. Includes the full ship collection, costume, weapons and spyglass, plus cat and parrot pets.
*Dark Warsmith Big Bundle *
- Join some of the Sea of Thieves' most fearsome pirates with this heavy-duty Dark Warsmith bundle. Includes the full ship collection, costume and weapons.
*Solid Gold Bundle (Store Only) *
- Want to dazzle in any company? A pirate of true opulence should hoard this Solid Gold Bundle, which contains two premium Collector's Pets: The Gold Curse Wildcat and Gold Curse Parakeet, 1000 Ancient Coins and a free bonus of 25,000 gold.

*Aristocrat Hair Styles *
- The urge to style yourself exquisitely needn't stop when you reach the top of your head, with these range of hair styles.
Gameplay Improvements
*Extra Cooking Stoves *
- Too many cooks in the kitchen but not enough stoves for you all? Well, that’s about to change as now each ship type will have two stoves for players to cook a variety of dishes on to their hearts’ content.
Known Issues
*Guilds of Gold *
- This is a very early preview of this feature set at the moment and therefore may still contain placeholder text or imagery.
- Players who attempt to join a Guild through an invite that was sent from the games setting, may get locked in an infinite loading screen.
- Guild permissions currently are not working as intended and may not update for certain players.
- Captain's Logbooks on Sloops and Brigs are missing the first 2 pages.
*Pirate Emporium *
- Certain items may still preview placeholder text and imagery.
*Quick Switching *
- Players are currently still able to cancel the weapon wield animation by sprinting multiple times while switching weapons.
Fixed Issues
*Gameplay *
- Returned the frequency of Megalodon encounters back to intended levels.
*Captains of Adventure *
- The Pirate Milestone for Rowboats Docked will now increase when a rowboat is docked to your ship by any player.
*Pirate Emporium *
- Pet categories are now able to be browsed within the Pirate emporium.
*Visual and Audio *
- Music now plays when players are on the Main Menu and Loading Screens.
- The Radial menu will no longer persist on the screen when trying to row a rowboat.
*Performance and Stability *
- Improved server stability to reduce instances where players are disconnected from their sessions.
